My late-father was in WW-2 in Patton's 3rd Army. Daddy was in the Battle of the Bulge, among other fights. He never talked much about the war BUT he LOVED General Patton. He called him "The enlisted man's officer!" After listening to this book, I can see why. My dad was like him - a man's man- always leading but so loving to his family. This is turning out to be a tribute to both. When the Patton movie came out, it was at a drive-in. Mom wasn't interested so me and daddy went. I remember how memorized daddy was. I worry for our country because I see so few strong men now. I hate to say it but, I don't think we could win a war that required ground troops. That's why I worry about nuclear. All countries are dependent on electronics. it would quickly become a planet-killing horror. God bless daddy, Patton, and God help us. 🙏

Trashing of Princess Diana

Not worth it....don't bother. In my opinion, this book was written to do nothing more than trash Diana as a whining, bulimia-bound, psych case, and more. The writer seeks to ingratiate herself with The Firm by attempting to give light to every whisper campaign used against the People's Princess during her life. The writer should be ashamed.

A great and informative listen

it was a great listen and the truth finally came out. The internet trolls, particularly from her nasty sister, who is 17 years older and she'd only met twice, was hell bent for leather to make money off of selling lies about Meghan, that galled me to no end. The late queen did nothing to protect them. Shame on her! Shame on William and Kate! I have a brother and sister in law, myself. if anyone lied about either of them, this Hillbilly would turn redneck and come out fighting. what's wrong with you, William? And King Charles, you let Andrew keep all his military regalia and rank but not your son? Harry is a military HERO! Shame on you! Give Captain Wales ALL his military rank and honors and medals back! How cruel! The British rags should be shut down and forced to apologize for the thousands of cruel lies they told about Meghan. The British people need to stop buying those lie-filled rags. Finally, shame on every Brit for being so d*mned racist. God knows your heart and you best straighten your ❤️ before you stand in front of Him. HE is the one true Royal.

Casey and his American Top 40 is interwoven in my life. The 70s were my decade and I turned 18 in the Spring of 79. Jean Kasem's actions have shown her to be the villain in this terrible saga. I do have to say this, however: Casey ultimately caused this by marrying and putting Jean ahead of his own blood. He also should have made an iron-clad Will. He wasn't always sick and they were married over 30 years. Jean pushed his children out of his life but he allowed it. I feel sorry for his children, they deserved better.

A thoughtful walk thru Prince Harry's life and loves. I was 4 months older than Princess Diana. As an American, I had no interest in anyone "Royal" until the Princess. I've always felt she was used then callously tossed aside. I have followed Harry off and on through the years. She would be so proud of him and his lovely family. I wish Harry's family much love and happiness.

My opinion is this book was cobbled together with known information, not so subtle digs at the Princess and, a further attempt to make money off of her, long after her death.

a beautiful story

It was an honor to be given an in-depth view of Princess Diana, through the eyes of her butler and best friend, Paul Burrell. Plucked from innocence by Prince Charles to basically be a brood mare, while he loved another, she had to grow up fast and painfully. In her short life, she was truly an angel to the world. She was a kid at heart whip loved to play and tease others. she was also a wonderful mother. I was 4 months older than the Princess thus my interest in her as a peer. I have always found her death to be suspect. She remained a free spirit throughout her life, however, and she chose the correct person in Paul to tell her secrets too. I highly recommend this book to anyone wishing to learn more about Her Royal Highness, Diana, Princess of Wales.

I'm always curious as to what happened to that plane and those poor souls and crew. This book doesn't disappoint. Narrator is easy listening, too.

The only good thing to come out of the joke known as The Royals was Princess Diana. She's now dead and they need to go into the trash bin of history.
