Very disappointed
Revisado: 02-03-17
I would not refer this to anyone. 1st story was nice but adult content. 2nd story was filth. The language was very trashy. Skipped most of story because I could not stand the talk. Way over the top. 3rd story was trashy too. Just garbage.

Still Crude. Thought I would give the author a second chance. Not interested in her style of writing. Won't listen to any more.

Not sure why the main character is so angry all the time. Did not enjoy as much as others in the series. Feel like the author did not enjoy writing this one.

Not Romance but Sex
Revisado: 10-15-15
Very disappointed. Debbie Macomber left out the story for all the sex in the book. Did not enjoy. Stopped listening after the 2nd snake. Would rather listen to Christian fiction. Do not see that sex should be the story.

Historia
When novelist Owen Quine goes missing, his wife calls in private detective Cormoran Strike. At first, Mrs. Quine just thinks her husband has gone off by himself for a few days - as he has done before - and she wants Strike to find him and bring him home. But as Strike investigates, he discovers that Quine's disappearance is no coincidence. The novelist has just completed a manuscript featuring poisonous pen-portraits of almost everyone he knows. If the novel were published, it would ruin lives - meaning that almost everyone in his life would have motives to silence him.

Could not get through it
Revisado: 06-22-14
What would have made The Silkworm better?
This is the 2nd of JK Rowlings books that are under the Robert Galbraith byline. It is hard to listen to. Way to gross. graphic. Maybe I am a wimp but I just wish I had my credit back so I could get something worth listening to. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I am not sure she should be let out of the asylum. Terrible read/ listen.
What was most disappointing about Robert Galbraith’s story?
Gross
Would you be willing to try another one of Robert Glenister’s performances?
Maybe
If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Silkworm?
I don't think the editor read any of this. They just published it on JK Rowlings name.

Historia
Eff was born a thirteenth child. Her twin brother, Lan, is the seventh son of a seventh son. This means he's supposed to possess amazing talent - and she's supposed to bring only bad things to her family and her town. Undeterred, her family moves to the frontier, where her father will be a professor of magic at a school perilously close to the magical divide that separates settlers from the beasts of the wild. With wit and wonder, Patricia Wrede creates an alternate history of westward expansion that will delight fans of both J. K. Rowling and Laura Ingalls Wilder.

Good but took a little to get into it
Revisado: 05-21-14
What made the experience of listening to Thirteenth Child the most enjoyable?
Good after I was able to get into it. All the explanations at 1st were difficult to get into.As it was a different beginning to the US frontier than what I was used to I had to think a little different to understand. After I got further in it made more sense. Ready to read the 2nd in the series.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Eff
