Historia
In August 1776, a little over a month after the Continental Congress had formally declared independence from Britain, the revolution was on the verge of a sudden and disastrous end. General George Washington found his troops outmanned and outmaneuvered at the Battle of Brooklyn, and it looked like there was no escape. But thanks to a series of desperate rear-guard attacks by a single heroic regiment, famously known as the Immortal 400, Washington was able to evacuate his men, and the nascent Continental Army lived to fight another day.

Historia
In this remarkable WWII story by New York Times best-selling author John R. Bruning, a renegade American pilot fights against all odds to rescue his family - imprisoned by the Japanese - and revolutionizes modern warfare along the way. From the knife fights and smuggling runs of his youth to his fiery days as a pioneering naval aviator, Paul Irving "Pappy" Gunn played by his own set of rules and always survived on his wits and fists. But when he fell for a conservative Southern belle, her love transformed him from a wild and reckless airman to a cunning entrepreneur.

Historia
After her release from a concentration camp, Corrie ten Boom set out to become what she called a “tramp for the Lord,” traveling around the world at the direction of God and proclaiming his message everywhere. Throughout her life-long experiences, she learned a few lessons in God’s great classroom, which she here shares with listeners. Corrie introduces us to her former prison guard, who asks her for forgiveness; a war-crippled lawyer with a soul as twisted and deformed as his limbs; and more.

Christians would do well to read it more books like this one on simple childlike faith in God to do his work through weakness without the intervention of human effort and wisdom.- and our effort and wisdom is unwelcome an intervention.

Historia
Has something indeed happened to evangelical theology and to evangelical churches? According to David Wells, the evidence indicates that evangelical pastors have abandoned their traditional role as ministers of the Word to become therapists and "managers of the small enterprises we call churches". Along with their parishioners, they have abandoned genuine Christianity and biblical truth in favor of the sort of inner-directed experiential religion that now pervades Western society.

Revisado: 09-07-22
If you are not a Christian or history buff, don't worry. This is a fascinating read for anybody regardless of your style, interests, or political point of view. It offers very poignant & practical perspective from the very horse's mouth. Socialism, communism and fascism are all synonymous and destructive to human nature and society. Christianity results in true love for one another regardless of race economic or social background. I believe the author is breathing, walking proof of this fact. He is a modern day example of the author of amazing grace.author of amazing grace.

Historia
At one time, Corrie ten Boom would have laughed at the idea that she had a story to tell. For the first 50 years of her life, nothing out of the ordinary ever happened to her. She was a spinster watchmaker living contentedly with her sister and their elderly father in the tiny house over their shop in Haarlem. Their uneventful days, as regulated as their own watches, revolved around their abiding love for one another. But with the Nazi invasion and occupation of Holland, everything changed....

Revisado: 05-17-22
Whether you are a theology or literature student, the opinions presented here do not teach the Divine inspiration perspective of the church fathers. It's a secular perspective on God's very word full of unfounded misconceptions and false claims. The verdict: myth based on some truth and edited by man's whims.
This is Not what His word says about itself or the rest of History and archaeology indicate concerning its claims.
A few interesting facts, but not worth it for a the little bones you have to pick out...

Historia
Is Atheism Dead? is an entertaining, impressively wide-ranging, and decidedly provocative answer to that famous 1966 Time cover that itself provocatively asked “Is God Dead?” In a voice that is by turns witty, muscular, and poetic, Metaxas intentionally echoes C. S. Lewis and G. K. Chesterton in cheerfully and logically making his astonishing case, along the way presenting breathtaking - and often withering - new evidence and arguments against the idea of a Creatorless universe.

Revisado: 05-16-22
Every Christian should read or listen to "Is atheism dead"
there truly is no excuse for the fool to say publicly "there is no God" or that He is dead. this book really does help one to understand in light of current scientific discoveries that man is without excuse. As Romans one also teaches "God's invisible attributes.... are clearly visible through His creation."
