Historia
In this eye-opening short story, a tech reporter’s mistake unites two women eight thousand miles apart. One in New Jersey, one in the Philippines. Same name: Sandra Guzman. Same job: content moderators for a mega social media website. Meh.
Revisado: 08-15-22
There's a lot that could have been improved on the short story. It sounds like a high school paper. The narrator paused too much to change voices. if she had made them twins they were separated at birth and the story would have had a real good punch

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Historia
More than a year after she helped save the world from the Sparnaxian invasion, Andrea Vernon is in a good place. Her boss is giving her greater responsibility and she’s getting to travel a lot (although her fill-in is hopeless at making coffee); things could be getting even more serious with her 8’ 4” superhero boyfriend, The Big Axe; and she has a really fun new BFF, Never More. Small issue, though, with that last item - Never More is a supervillain bent on world domination, and it looks as if nothing can stop her.

Super fun sequel! As great as the first!
Revisado: 05-20-20
this is the sequel to the first book. there are so many fun pop culture remarks and opinions and action-packed scenes that are described out in different voices that it's an absolute joy to listen to. A real laugh out loud story. I really hope there's a third.

A story about death.
Revisado: 05-12-20
The narration of the book is fantastic. The voice inflections, you could feel every single thought. I had no idea the story was about grieving.
I thought the two characters would meet. That is what I got out of the summary. I listen to audible to get through mundane chores. Now every time I walk into this house I'm going to think about death. It is a lot more fun to think about T-Rex chomping down on you in the garden because that is where I was when I listenied to Jurassic Park. I'm sorry I listened without reading any reviews. The performance was amazing and that's the only reason why I finished.

I keep listening. Had too. Absurd, but I had too.
Revisado: 04-22-20
Somebody else said it, the crab's voice is the best. It's an absurd story and I really thought the main character was going to wake up at some point. I listened all the way through and it was gratifying. At one point I thought about skipping forward, but that would be like skipping forward in a Stephen King. You would miss one detail that would be extremely important. So I didn't. I just kept listening. I was rewarded. The ending left my mouth hanging open. That is the kind of book I like to listen to. One that surprises you at the end.

Cool twist on Fairy Tales
Revisado: 03-27-20
I didn't know what to expect. The story was a really cool twist on fairy tales. I kept wondering how they were going to end this and then they started explaining who the three main characters really were. Several times I stopped doing what I was doing just to listen with my full attention. I laughed quite a bit.

Historia
Lo Blacklock, a journalist who writes for a travel magazine, has just been given the assignment of a lifetime: a week on a luxury cruise with only a handful of cabins. The sky is clear, the waters calm, and the veneered, select guests jovial as the exclusive cruise ship, the Aurora, begins her voyage in the picturesque North Sea. At first Lo's stay is nothing but pleasant: The cabins are plush, the dinner parties are sparkling, and the guests are elegant. But as the week wears on, frigid winds whip the deck, and gray skies fall.

Agonizing right along with her for no reason but..
Revisado: 08-20-19
I found myself agonizing right along with a heroin the entire book. Nothing in common, never experienced any of those traumas. Yet, I felt like the Heroine could have been my best friend explaining it to me in detail. Superbly written murder mystery.

Eye opening - Practice makes perfect
Revisado: 05-01-19
My poor cat. He has been the receiver of multiple hypothetical negotiation scenarios until he fell asleep on me. The lessons/advice/homework presented in this book will takes some serious practice for myself. With my head full of Briggs/Meyer, DISC and other sales books, this book finally broke it down into an easy to remember (before I speak) rhythm. I have tried it a few times in real life and found it works and that I need lots of practice to make it less awkward for myself. Listening is easy. Implementing takes practice, practice, practice.
Absolutely worth the time. Listen to all the stories as they are fascinating with a point. Failure is always the best teacher and Chris has several to show you how and why.

If I was 12, I would listen again and again.
Revisado: 05-01-19
I am 53. I felt like 12 year old tomboy listening to a story written just for her. The main character's childlike focus on herself was lifted to awareness of other's feelings and doing the right thing. That is a hard lesson to teach children. This book did a fantastic job of showing the reader her journey to do the right thing. That said as a parent.
If I was 12 again, this would have been one of my favorite books. It would have made me want to go look up the places they flew over and learn about them. It had history, architecture, adventure, bratty little girls, brave little boys, and of course, a magic genie. I was rooting for her and her friends all the way through. Perfectly wonderful!
