Excellent storyline!

I listened to this first book in Audible, and I really wanted to DNF simply because the male narrator was driving me crazy how slow he spoke! But the story was so good, I couldn't stop!! (I know, I should've just stopped and read it instead, but I was in the middle of moving and didn't have time to sit and read an actual book! Lol)
My actual point here is, this book was amazing and you need to read it! It was a beautifully sad story, mixed with a glimmer of hope. Dark and despairing, with moments of humor, 2 broken people who find each other at the end of the world. Can't wait to READ book 2!! ☺

Another great Clarissa Wild story!

I really liked this story! I enjoyed the male narrator alot more than the female though. If it was done duet style, it would have been better. I think the male did a better female voice though than the female did with the male voice. It was still enjoyable though, and the narration didnt take away from the story. I loved Viktor, he stole my heart!

Fun historical western romance

I enjoyed listening to this book. The narration felt a little flat or monotone at times, but most of the time, it was good. The story felt a little long, it seemed to take forever for her to get to California. I loved Gabe though, and the narrator did an excellent job voicing him and his accent! I wish he had been in more of the book! All in all, it was a fun story, especially if you enjoy a little spanking in your romances! It left me wanting to hear the other books in this series!

I enjoyed this story, and the narrator did a pretty good job. I did find myself cringing a few times at the words used to describe her arousal. I thought that woman has plumbing issues, with all the dripping going on anytime he's around. Other than that though, I liked it.

Enjoyable historical fiction!

I enjoy the occasional historical fiction, especially when it's pioneers and the wagon trail. I also love domestic discipline stories. This book had both, and I really liked it!
The only thing I didn't care as much for is how immature the heroine was, and how whiney and disrespectful she was. Of course, she did always get punished for it, so that's something! But I myself am not a big fan of "daddy" stories. While she didn't call him daddy or have to act like a little girl, (although her behavior was a bit young at times! lol) it still had a bit of that feel to it, the way he always called her "little girl" and treated her like a little girl. I enjoy punishment for misbehavior, but I don't like being talked to like a child. I realize alot of people do though, so if that is your thing, you will love this book!
Despite that, this was a really well written story, and she makes you care about the characters. I listened to this as an audio book, and the narration was done really well also! I really enjoyed it, and will be reading (or listening to) more of her books!

I had high hopes for this, was a little disappoint

What did you like best about Forbidden Lust? What did you like least?

The storyline sounded really good, I enjoyed the story for the most part, but with just a little work it could have been great.

I wasn't a big fan of the narration. She seemed too overly dramatic at times.

What was your reaction to the ending? (No spoilers please!)

It felt a bit rushed.

How could the performance have been better?

I think the narrator needed to just calm down or speak in a bit more of a normal voice.
I have noticed reviews that really liked the narration, so this may just be a personal preference of mine.
