Historia
Hannah and her husband, Elkanah, share a deep and abiding love, for each other, for their God, and for his tabernacle at Shiloh. Greatly disturbed by the corruption of the priests, they long for restoration and pray for a deliverer. But nothing changes as the years pass. Years that also reveal Hannah to be barren. Pressured by his family to take another wife, Elkanah marries Peninnah, who quickly begins to bear children. Disgraced and taunted by her husband's new wife, Hannah turns again to prayers that seem doomed to go unanswered.

Loved continuing Gabby’s journey!
Revisado: 11-10-22
The story is fabulous, so well written, really pulls you into the lives of the character. However, very disappointed with narrator, wished they had not changed:-(. The narrate for the first two was exceptional and skilled at doing different accents and ages. This one was so off with the accents, and when she did a child’s voice, it was painful, not a good match for the story/characters. Not to mention, that her voice sounded like that of an old woman, not at all like the main character. Because I was already invested in the character and storyline from previous two books, I stuck with it.

Loved it!

Loved the way the author introduced some scripture, relevant to what the character is going through. Some of these were profound and have become my go to verses. The narration was exceptional, she has a unique voice for each character, which is perfect. Story quickly pulled me in!
