It’s been amusing to read the negative reviews of this book where people are angry about being duped, blindsided, tricked, etc. Anyone who pays attention to current events would know that co-author Jennifer Finney Boylan is a trans woman and that therefore this novel would likely have a trans plot line. This book did an excellent job with that and, though I generally find Picoult’s work to be a bit heavy-handed, I loved the story and all its plot twists.
