This series gave me all the feels and the narrators were perfect, bringing this story to life in a way that I'm so glad I listened to the book instead of reading it first. I will happily recommend this book to everyone and eagerly await that moment when I re listen to it all over again.

narrator is awesome

I listened to the book with the Library copy and even with the stuffy nose she was so good, I had to buy my own copy from here so I could listen to her again! My book was good, but I fell in love with it because of the narrator. so good. and if you're wondering if the book has spice it does, but it's a super slow burn. first kiss is at chapter 20 and steam is at chapter 30, that's several hours of listening in a 21 hour book. happy listening!

A Must Listen Sci Fi Galactic Superhero Adventure

Adventure, love, and a dark past that could destroy his future. Rohan is a hybrid tapping into energy within himself that makes him one of the most dangerous warriors, practically superhero (or villain) like, (Lances, as they are called in this star system) to cross paths with. He's retired to a space station A.I., older than his ancestors, named Wistful working as a Second-class Tow Chief to stay under the radar and escape his past self, and practice his mantra to control his anger and be nice going forward. He's done some things he isn't proud of, but his character is likeable and enjoyable to listen to. His morals are tested when the black hole opens near Wistful throwing his obscure existence back into chaos, and he even meets an attractive love interest that makes his task of keeping his past in the past even more difficult.
I think the prologue is unnecessary, and makes listening to the story quite difficult since it's a bit chaotic to understand what is happening through audio, but ignore those first few minutes, and the rest of the story is engaging and a must listen. You'll find yourself making time you didn't originally allot to listening to your audiobooks a priority, so you find out what happens next. Love this start to Rohan's journey, and can't wait to listen to more!
If you love sci-fi adventure, superhero stories, and even a bit of romance, then you'll devour this audiobook with pleasure. Absolutely a fun listen!
The narrator did a terrific job with this book! He was enjoyable to listen to.

Dungeons and Dragons Quest Like Story

This isn't my normal listen. At first, I was bit annoyed by the loud narration, but after a while I actually really appreciated the narrator and his very strong presence. It was honestly the narrator that kept me listening all the way to the end, since you really don't understand what the plot is or where the characters are going until like chapter 20-something, Luckily, some of the chapters were only a few minutes long so it went by pretty fast. By the end I enjoyed the book overall, but it took me quite a while to finish listening to this book. I think I'm just not the target audience for stories that read like a dungeon master is explaining what is happening in a Dungeon's and Dragon's campaign. Don't get me wrong I enjoy D&D, but it isn't my preference for books. I do suggest giving the book a try just for the narration, and if you like that sort of book adventure.
