Historia
The movement began with the heart of the poor and humble Hungarian mystic and Third-Order Carmelite, Elizabeth Kindelmann (1913-1985), when she heard the voices of Jesus and Mary through interior locutions between the years 1961 and 1983. The result is this spiritual diary, written at the request of our lord Jesus, which has received the Imprimatur of the Church and gifted the world untold blessings for our critical times.

Historia
In Gay Girl, Good God, author Jackie Hill Perry shares her own story, offering practical tools that helped her in the process of finding wholeness. Jackie grew up fatherless and experienced gender confusion. She embraced masculinity and homosexuality with every fiber of her being. She knew that Christians had a lot to say about all of the above. But was she supposed to change herself? How was she supposed to stop loving women, when homosexuality felt more natural to her than heterosexuality ever could?

Good Read, Good Book - A lot to take in and share
Revisado: 07-09-22
With a strong voice Kelly tells the compelling and in my view miraculous story of her conversion. In addition she drenched it all in Scripture and insists that the Gospel message is for everyone. I also loved that she included at the end of the book the relevant biblical quotes. This book can be used for group study by people of all sexual orientations, ie. anyone.

I loved this book!!!
Revisado: 05-06-22
I loved this book. Though it dealt will the difficult topic of slavery and the brutality of it in South Carolina, it was heartwarming to learn that Mss Elisa Lucas treated her slaves with respect and taught them to read and even gave them their freedom. And her own story of being a pioneer in the production of indigo when she was only 17 years of age is amazing given that she lived in a very male dominated society. Finally, her love story was the "icing on the cake" for me.

On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.

Historia
Contemporary culture is permeated with the caustic message that nothing is more important than youth and that the natural aging process is to be dreaded, denied, postponed, avoided at all costs. The media crams our minds full of dreadful data of aging as a dire collection of disease, devastation, and loss. Cultural perspectives foster a fear of aging that dramatically affects our experience of growing older.

Historia
We're all infected with a spiritual disease. Its name is shame. Whether we realize it or not, shame affects every aspect of our personal lives and vocational endeavors. It seeks to destroy our identity in Christ, replacing it with a damaged version of ourselves that results in unhealed pain and brokenness. But God is telling a different story for your life. Psychiatrist Curt Thompson unpacks the soul of shame, revealing its ubiquitous nature and neurobiological roots. He also provides the theological and practical tools necessary to dismantle shame.

Historia
Arrested in 1962 as South Africa's apartheid regime intensified its brutal campaign against political opponents, 44-year-old lawyer and African National Congress activist Nelson Mandela had no idea that he would spend the next 27 years in jail. During his 10,052 days of incarceration, Mandela wrote hundreds of letters to unyielding prison authorities, fellow activists, government officials, and, most memorably, his courageous wife, Winnie, and his five children. Now, 255 of these letters, a majority of which were previously unpublished, provide the most intimate portrait of Mandela since Long Walk to Freedom.
