The honesty and integrity of one who is willing to look at the facts and without malice, express them. Marco is insightful and well versed in history. It was a great read!

Many of the scenarios that civilians are most likely to encounter lack substantive information for executing the referenced task or “defeat” method. Being aware is important but knowing what to do and how to do it is vital. Overall I was disappointed.

While many scriptures were quoted they were often out of context. Some statements were downright heresy. God is faithful regardless of what I do or don’t do. Also, God is under no requirement to perform based on my praise - especially not in a prescribed manner as stated in the book.

I found this book simplistic, formulaic and potentially far more destructive than helpful. I would NOT recommend this book.

Facts vs Interpretation

The upside:
Most anyone will be able to learn something new from the research study results and facts that are presented. The scholarly collection of data is impressive; some is quite ground breaking and much points to the incredible “design” of males and females. Reading this book could dramatically improve one’s understanding of the opposite sex (although the focus is, by intention, on the female), and increase the enjoyment of a sexual relationship. I found the data in the book to be quite valuable, however, the conclusions drawn from the data left much to be desired.
The downside:
Facts are interpreted through the filters of feminism, Eastern mysticism and evolution. Given the incredible facts presented, and the amazing discoveries of how males and females relate biologically, emotionally, chemically and sexually, indeed, even pointing out that they ultimately need each other for optimum health and mutual benefit, the author attributes these facts to “evolutionary processes”. Then statements are made that grossly misrepresent the teachings of the Bible, and Christianity as if these misrepresentations somehow “prove” evolution or feminism to be superior. In fact, they demonstrate a lack of understanding and investigation into these matters. A basic understanding of the historical and cultural settings, etymology, and attention to the entire document (not just a snippet here or there) would have presented an entirely different picture of the Bible message concerning women than that which was presented by the author. The Bible clearly teaches the differences yet equality of the sexes, the preciousness and value of a woman, and the command to husbands to: "love your wife even to the point of giving up your life for her". This is a far cry from what was stated by the author.
Careful research and investigation in these areas would have proven the Bible to be supportive of many of the facts presented, however, the author interprets them as antithetical to her point. She has forced the facts through feminist and evolutionary “filters” and thereby has, in my view, drawn inadequate and sometimes erroneous conclusions.

What did you love best about The Second World War: Triumph and Tragedy?

The historical, behind-the-scenes events revealed in this book helped me better understand the motivations behind the principle characters and nations.

What about Christian Rodska’s performance did you like?

His voice was stable, and expressive of controlled resolve and emotion which I found believable in replicating Winston Churchill. I was easily "absorbed" into the story as it was read and never felt like someone was just reading a story to me - I felt as if I were there, experiencing the saga as it unfolded.

Any additional comments?

The story and the delivery were outstanding. Kudos!

Potential Unfulfilled

I loved the elements of what happened at Oakridge before, during and after WWII. The historical references were good and added to my interest.
However, the fascinating story potential was limited by two glaring weaknesses. The first was the reader. It sounded like she was reading a nursery story to children. Her use of alternate voices was unconvincing, even distracting. The second was the attempt to present an historic account in light of today's culture and social norms. The overlay of today's values, the obvious attempts to infuse today's women's rights issues, etc. in a time when they didn't exist as we know them today, clouded the authenticity and veracity of the narrative. Overall I was very disappointed.
