Historia
New York, 1908: The days are getting longer—and warmer—in Manhattan. Molly Murphy Sullivan doesn’t want to leave her home in the city, but typhoid is back, and she’s expecting. So she heads north with the children to summer with her mother-in-law in Westchester County. Molly tells herself it won’t be so bad, after all the countryside is pretty, and she’s determined to make the best of it. Even if she’s leaving her husband, Daniel, behind. And at least she’s not the only one heading north. Her great friends, Sid and Gus, are headed to the Catskills to visit Sid’s family.

Historia
On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Historia
Twenty-five years ago, Maggie Holt and her parents, Ewan and Jess, moved into Baneberry Hall, a rambling Victorian estate in the Vermont woods. Three weeks later they fled in the dead of night, an ordeal Ewan later recounted in a nonfiction book called House of Horrors. His horror memoir of ghostly happenings and encounters with malevolent spirits became a worldwide phenomenon, rivaling The Amityville Horror in popularity — and skepticism.

fascinating
Revisado: 09-04-20
Fascinating kept me thinking I highly recommend this book. I only have one negative. When the male narrator speaks n his female voices it annoys me. It almost stopped me from listening, I'm glad I kept listening. This is one I'll enjoy more in physical paper copy form. Riley is fascinating and noteworthy one of my favorite authors. I hope he writes one that is based in a European country. Maybe its just me but European countries have atmospheres that give every story more depth & intriguing plus those narrative voices are are my favorite.

Historia
I pinch the screen to zoom until I’m staring at the face of a ghost. A man with very short hair, staring directly at the camera with piercing brown eyes. He is as he was when I last saw him: wrinkles around the corners of the eyes and a knowing smirk. That’s the expression I see when I can’t sleep. My body tenses. It can’t be him. It’s not my ex-husband. It’s not David. I know that better than anyone because he didn’t walk out on me. He didn’t disappear two years ago and he’s not a missing person. I know that for a fact because I’m the one who killed him.

I enjoy this series
Revisado: 10-24-18
I love to escape into books I hope n the future there will be less push to make personal political stances I respect everyone and am completely against any hate but I would truly enjoy stories especially ones set back in older days to be less pointed on making a statement it does nothing for the story I get so tired of the news and negative behavior and treatment I need my stories to just be good old fashioned fiction no agenda just stories that are for fun it should just be common sense by now to treat everyone equal and with love drawing attention to things unnecessarily only makes it an issue when it shouldn't be in those times that wasn't common place knowledge and drawing on it only stirs things just let a fiction be fiction without trying to pull current issues into place I wish everyone would just love and stop pushing things just accept and move forward everything doesn't need to be a political or whatever statement it can just be lighthearted fiction I still enjoy this series and one similar I just wish the pushing of things would stop I think it makes more of a negative point than good I hope authors stop pushing it into places time like 1800 1900 England it makes it obvious that its pointed and like I said causes more unbelievably and negative than help making points in other ways would be more helpful for instance just stop making it a big deal just love one another sorry for a rant but this makes my 2nd or 3rd currently written series in a row that is doing this again just write stories without trying to infuse these things just saying it makes a negative point and positive i hope for more positive light on people treating others with love

Historia
On The Power of Vulnerability, Dr. Brown offers an invitation and a promise - that when we dare to drop the armor that protects us from feeling vulnerable, we open ourselves to the experiences that bring purpose and meaning to our lives. Here she dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and reveals that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage.
