Historia
Gold Dust Woman gives "the gold standard of rock biographers" (the Boston Globe) his ideal topic: Nicks' work and life are equally sexy and interesting, and Davis delves deeply into each, unearthing fresh details from new, intimate interviews and interpreting them to present a rich new portrait of the star. Just as Nicks (and Lindsay Buckingham) gave Fleetwood Mac the "shot of adrenaline" they needed to become real rock stars - according to Christine McVie - Gold Dust Woman is vibrant with stories and with a life lived large and hard.

I'm glad it was a free book
Revisado: 01-31-25
I'm glad I didn't have to pay to listen to this book. The narrator was so inconsistent. She would call Mick Fleetwood "Mick" and other times would call him "Nick", sometimes in the same paragraph. Once, the narrator read a conversation between Mick and Stevie and used an English accent for both of them. Mick is British; Stevie is not. And there were so many mispronunciations throughout. Where was the editor?

Not the best in the series
Revisado: 08-20-23
I felt that this book was not as good as the previous ones in this series, and I lost interest in the story several times. Also there is an editing mistake. Around 22 minutes before the end of the book, the editor can be heard making a comment for the narrator to make a little tweak to the reading. Then the narrator corrects it and continues on.

Okay story; poor performance
Revisado: 11-21-17
Although the story was okay, I found the narration almost unlistenable. It detracted from the story.

A Pleasure to Listen To
Revisado: 04-27-16
If you could sum up The Crescent Spy in three words, what would they be?
A Great Listen
Have you listened to any of Rosemary Benson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
Rosemary Benson makes the stories she performs come alive. Her character portrayals are so good that I forget that someone is narrating the story when I listen to her. Her collaborations with Michael Wallace's books have been a pleasure to listen to.
