Enjoyable sequal- But things felt rushed.

(Something I liked about both books is the tame queer love story between a few of the characters. I am 30, and I think this would be okay for young adults/teens because the queer relationships are not intimately descriptive or detailed. No erotica.)
I enjoyed this sequel because of the characters.
My only critique is a lot that happened and these events were not as in depth as events that happened in the first book.
Sometimes this book felt rushed, and I wish there was more background on the night creatures, Ash's life, Raul and so on. I will definitely be reading the next book- please hurry!! 😜

For her entire life, the Name-Bearer's sole purpose has been to receive and deliver the names of the future monarchy from the Flowers of Prophecy. But when the child is finally born and the Name-Bearer is sent to the Flowers, they refuse to name him. Instead they deliver a prophecy; another child was born who is more worthy of the Naming, and if they are found and brought before them it will usher in a reign of peace. Having failed in her duties the Name-Bearer is considered a traitor to the crown, and must hide among an elite sect of warrior women.

Her Journey was Fascinating

I enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It was easy to listen to, and my go-to when I am driving. If you like a little fantasy, easy listening, and learning about the main characters of books, you may enjoy this.
