This third story in the Taken series does not disappoint. We finally get to learn what happened to Kathryn, the quiet Christian of the original trio of hostages. From the moment Kathryn steps foot in Belfast, Northern Ireland, the author takes readers on a roller coaster ride of ups and downs.
I appreciated the vivid descriptions of this country and glimpses into the conflict surrounding the people.
The narrator made me feel like I was really there with her exceptional Irish accenst.
And for those who relish the romantic themes, it's there in living color between Kathryn and Policeman Shay MacGuire.
All in all, a great listen.

I love this book so much!

I have read Follow the River a number of times, but this narrator brought the story more alive than I ever imagined. Even though I knew how it ended I was caught up in the characters and could not wait to listen to the next chapter.

Another Great "Taken Trilogy" Listen

Listening to book 2 in the Taken Trilogy brings this story to life! Lots of twists and turns, and the fact that it's based on true events makes this a great listen. Jenny Meyers narrates Zach's Scottish accent in such a way that I can "see" this Scotsman. Great job, author and narrator!

I enjoyed all aspects of this audio book! The narrator was excellent with the many characters he voiced. The pacing perfect. And the story? Totally believable...in spite of it being speculative fiction. I was caught up in the action right away. It's good to know that The Awakened is the first in a series!!
