Historia
In this primer of apologetic thought, Dr. Sproul affirms four logical principles that are necessary for all real discussion and teaches you how to defend your faith in a faithless world. Using the writings of church fathers and philosophers throughout the ages, he uncovers the common ideologies that work against faith. The defense of the faith is not a luxury or an intellectual vanity. It is a task appointed by God that you should be able to give a reason for the hope that is in you as you bear witness before the world.

Too technical
Revisado: 05-22-11
This is not a layman's introduction to apologetics. This is a very technical textbook for graduate level philosophy students. At least, that's what it seemed like to me. I am not a stupid person, but I was lost through much of this. This is not the first apologetics book I've read/listened to, but this was the most difficult. I haven't finished it yet and I'm not sure I will. Very advanced and uses highly technical language. I would only recommend this only if you have a firm foundation of philosophy and logic.

Historia
Was God telling the truth when he said, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart"? In The Case for Faith, best-selling author, journalist, and former atheist Lee Strobel turns his investigative skills to the most persistent emotional objections to belief in God - the eight "heart barriers" to faith.

The best of Lee Strobel
Revisado: 05-22-11
I downloaded several of Less Strobel's books and all are good, but this is by far the best! He really tackles the toughest questions facing a Christian (or skeptic or unbeliever) and digs up some very good answers. If you only read one of Lee Strobel's books, this is the one I recommend!

Historia
The Bible is filled with examples of an intimate God, a God keenly interested in connecting with ordinary people. He promises to be with us. He says he will personally guide us. Yet somehow, intimacy with God eludes us. Caught up in the mainstream of life, we know we're missing something vital. But how do we attain it?

He makes God feel closer
Revisado: 05-22-11
John is serious about many things but has a great sense of humor that makes this a joy to listen to and packed with wonderful lessons. I highly recommend this book. It isn't a one-size-fits-all, feel-good book. Practical and entertaining. He helps you find God using examples both sublime and ridiculous, from Michelangelo to Where's Waldo to a 2 1/2 year old child. If you listen to this and don't learn something, you weren't listening!

Historia
The Me I Want to Be will help you discover spiritual vitality like never before as you learn to "live in the flow of the spirit." Pastor and best-selling author John Ortberg first helps gauge your spiritual health and measure the gap between where you are now and where God intends you to be. Then he provides detailed tasks and exercises to help you live in the flow of the Spirit, circumventing real-world barriers - pain and sorrow, temptations, self-doubt, sin - to flourish even in a dark and broken world.

I learned a lot from this
Revisado: 05-22-11
This is a great book. One thing to be aware of is that they have the tags wrong and this shows here that it is written and read by John Ortberg; when I downloaded it, it shows the author is Thomas C Oden and the narrator is John Ortberg; the truth is that it was written by John Ortberg and narrated by Thomas Oden. It's not a big deal to me, but it is somthing I wish they would correct.
As for the book itself, John is serious about many things but has a great sense of humor that makes this a joy to listen to and packed with wonderful lessons. I highly recommend this book. It isn't a one-size-fits-all, feel-good book. Practical and entertaining. Be the person God wants you to be.
