Sorry... Really? Thrust? Anyway, Danny Kendrick was a down-on-his luck performer who always struggled to find his place. He certainly never wanted to be a hero. He just hoped to earn a living doing what he loved. That all changes when he pisses off the wrong guy and gets sucked into a fantasy realm straight out of a Renaissance Fair. Getting used to a new world is tough. It's even tougher when you're surrounded by axe-wielding barbarians, super hot elf assassins, strange magic, and a jaded System that doesn't appear interested in being charged with yet another companion.

A unique and fun twist in the LITRPG genre.

It doesn’t use the genre of LITRPG as a crutch, but instead unlocks the potential lock in the genre. It’s is well written with witty and intriguing characters. I don’t normally recommend audio books, but I highly recommend this book if you want an enjoyable story.

A brilliantly thought out plot and magic system.

The magic system is well written and blends perfectly with the plot. The read can feel a bit long at times, but it is well worth it. It leaves the reader with a sense of satisfaction upon finishing the read / listen.
Content warning: it can be quite dark in someplace and deals with serious elements. It is not overly explicit, but the content can be jarring to those unaware. 16+ would be my age recommendation.

Well written characters, a broad and diverse world and a great story.

Overall, this is a great series. I enjoy the characters and their overall dynamic. All plot lines tie into each other quite well. If you enjoy fantasy, give this series a try.
