Maybe it was a grandparent, or a teacher, or a colleague. Someone older, patient and wise, who understood you when you were young and searching, helped you see the world as a more profound place, gave you sound advice to help you make your way through it.

But don’t fret. It’s not too late. Meeting a suitable travel companion, finding a trusted friend, or connecting with a romantic partner may not be an easy endeavor, but it’s much easier than you think.

too generalized
Revisado: 10-20-22
This author presents older people as boring, packrats, stuck in the house which is not necessarily true at all. My home is clutter free already, my clothing is updated already. It is really weird advice to make yourself more attractive to another person. You don't need to improve yourself to meet someone. It is much more likely that a person should be attracted to your authentic self and if they aren't then that is ok. Too much emphasis on that you need a mate. You can be happy by yourself and if you want companionship, you shouldn't have to revamp who you are in order to do that. There are a few good suggestions at the very end
that address speaking to your children and taking care that they feel you are safe when meeting new people and don't rush. The narration is extremely odd and hard to listen to. However, the title and description are true to what the majority of the book is addressing.

Historia
In this poignant and uplifting memoir, Dancing with the Stars sensation Amy Purdy reveals the story of how losing her legs led her to find a spiritual path. When the Las Vegas native was just nineteen, she came down with bacterial meningitis and was given less than a two percent chance of survival. In a near-death experience, she saw three figures who told her: “You can come with us, or you can stay. No matter what happens in your life, it's all going to make sense in the end." In that moment, Amy chose to live.
