When JA Huss released Tragic in 2014, it seemed like a story about a homeless girl who got a life-changing modeling gig. Over the course of 7 books (if you count Tragic through the Creeping Beautiful series, it's more like 34 books), we realized that Huss starts a story so you think it's going one way and ends it with wild, crazy stuff happening and it is something completely different.

The Sacred Trinity series is going the exact same way. The Rumble and the Glory started by introducing us to the towns of Disciple, Revenant and Bishop, and to the Revival. We met Collin Creed and learned what happened to his baby sister Olive. It had mystery and suspense, but also sweet romance and intimacy.

Did I think all the books would be like this? No. Because I know how Huss builds her worlds.

And this one, book 4? Good God it was a roller coaster.
What starts as a story about Olive and Brose trying to grab an Edge employee in order to get to her brother Collin ends up as a mind---- all about mind control, PSYOP military actions and frequencies that had me listening for hours straight. I literally COULD NOT STOP.

I love Olive and Shep. I want the best for them. Hell I love Brose too. These guys are all caught up in this mess. I am hoping that we get more answers in the next book, and I bet we will.

The audio is phenomenal. Duet narration with Samantha Brentmoor, Gideon Frost, and Shane East. Amazing work by all. I loved it.

Definitely recommend this entire series. It is going to take you to so many places. I can't wait until it takes me to Revenent!

This one was a doozy.

I'm having a hard time concentrating lately so I had to listen to this one twice to make sure I got it. But it was so good and the audio is so well done that this was no struggle.

There are a lot of big things happening in the world of the new American vampire and they are all very dark and heavy. The way JA Huss comes up with unique concepts and weaves a story around them is really remarkable. I never saw those twists coming and really never knew what Paul was going to do. And Josep...he was a wild card. I don't even know what to say about him.

The audiobook was so good. Ava Erickson, CJ Mission, Finn Cassidy, and Oliver Clarke did such a good job capturing the voices of these vampires and our favorite black witch.

You have to read book 1, Blood Lovers, first. It's so good though. I listened to it again prior to this one and was glad for the refresher.

I am giddy with excitement for book 3. I love these vampires.

I have never read an Elle Kennedy book before. I didn't realize that other books came before this one but I wasn't lost. I just need to start at the beginning now.

I legit loved this book.

I needed a lighter read after a few heavier ones. This one was moderately spicy, had great witty banter, a fantastic MMC and FMC, amazing side characters, and a phenomenal audiobook.

The audio has my man Teddy Hamilton and CJ Bloom. They did such great jobs. Of course I would love duet narration more, but I would always love duet narration more.

I am going to dive into all of her books now and read from book one.

I love this series so much.

This one was a bit more serious than the epic Ilya/Shane book that will live in my heart forever. But it was wonderful all the same.

Gentle giant Ryan Price is an anxiety riddled sweetheart with body image issues, a fear of flying, problems in the bedroom, and trouble connecting to his teammates on account of being traded every year.

Musician Fabian is a sexually confident man who goes dancing and drinking and is surrounded by friends all the time. He knows who he is and what he wants.

These two friends are total opposites. Can they find true love??

I don't think there was as much spice in this one, but not every book has to be packed wall to wall with sex. There was enough.
And this might be the best group of friends I've read in a long while. I love Fabian's friends. And Wyatt is such a support for Ryan.

Tor Thom does a fantastic job as narrator. As always.

It's Shane and Ilya. The epitome of the mm couple. I don't know anyone who doesn't love this book.

The audio is great. Tor Thom does a great Ilya.

It had potential, and it was so close.

I love age gap (he's 41, she's 18). I love taboo and forbidden (he's her parents bff, her godfather, and her ex-boyfriend's dad). I love great sex scenes (this book has plenty of them).

But it just misses on so many things. Andromeda (yes, really) and Atlas (again, really) have a normal relationship until one day she sees him shirtless and he sees her without glasses. 😐 Yeah. They live across the street from each other and saw each other daily. She saw him shirtless plenty of times and he saw her without glasses. He even walked in on her having sex with his son. Never an attraction between the two, until one day. Interesting.
Then there was the sudden rage from Atlas that didn't really make sense. It didn't fit with his personality.
The third act breakup...Drama caused Drama. What a -----. I wanted to shake her. It showed her immaturity and why guys shouldn't date 18 year olds. She's in therapy and her therapist didn't tell her she had a bad plan?
There were a couple of things that didn't make sense, but I just ignored them. Overall, it was ok, could have been better.
The audio was pretty good. Lucas Dixon doesn't do a great female voice but it was ok. Brooke Daniels did a great job. It's dual narration. Pretty good audio, probably won't revisit this one.

This book is all kinds of messed up.

But I liked it a lot. There's a lot of sex, there's a plot and a back story and a duet audiobook. I loved it. Was it perfect, no. But it was good enough for me to stay up late until I finished because I wanted to see what happened.

I loved Sawyer's quirkiness and I loved Enzo's protectiveness (even though he overreacted majorly about the credit card). The old man was creepy and the ghosts were intriguing. I wanted to know who they were.

The audiobook was perfect. Michelle Sparks was great as Sawyer. I loved her. Troy Duran didn't have his best performance, in my opinion, but it was still good. He was supposed to be Italian, and spoke Italian well, as far as I can tell. But when he spoke English, he sometimes had kind of an accent and sometimes didn't, and switched back and forth. If you want an Italian character, hire an Italian actor maybe. Idk. It was irritating to me. But it was duet which was great. I will most likely listen to this one again.

I never read cheating books, but this isn't really a cheating book because the husband is a jerk. So the cheating doesn't seem so bad. I don't like cheating books where someone is legiterally heartbroken.

Nic aka Cole (depending on who is with her) is dating Patrick, who seemed like a decent guy but was an overbearing, religious meanie. One of those "women need to be stay at home moms, barefoot and pregnant and always have dinner on the table" types. Probably a Trump voter. Then his friend Hawke moves in. The total opposite. A tattooed, shaggy haired, ex con with a lip ring.

Nic and Hawke hate each other until they don't.

So there was a lot of sex in this book. That was fine.
The issues...it was a little repetitive. I think his lip ring was mentioned at least 4 times in every chapter. There were some things and scenarios that didn't make sense. I think twice the word "exacerbated" was used instead of "exasperated" unless my listening ears were tuned incorrectly. One of the very last things that happened had me puzzled but I don't want to spoil it so I'll just keep it to myself. I figured out the "twist" almost immediately and I never figure out what's going on. It just could have been trimmed down a little and edited a tad. A dual POV would have been interesting.

The audio was fab. I love duet. Joe Arden overacts just a little at times, as always, but that's the way he is. He does a great sex scene. And Avery Caris was new to me but I loved her. Recommend the audio for sure. Can't wait to read about Kid.

It's fine. I mean, it was super hot but it was way too short for me to get into it or really care what happened.
Halo's sister met up with his two straight band mates in a Paris bar and went up to their hotel room. One scene.
Give me more. The scene was great. But it didn't really give me anything. It set up some angst for the next one I suppose. But eh.
The narrator was great. No complaints.

Lots of lust, not much hate, lots of love
Killian and Levi are so sweet together. Their third act breakup was kind of silly and could have been avoided had they just, you know, communicated but they didn't of course.
The band drama was more interesting than the Killian/Levi drama lol.

The audio was great. Charlie David was fantastic. I enjoyed this series a lot.
