Historia
When The Sandman, also known as Lord Morpheus - the immortal king of dreams, stories and the imagination - is pulled from his realm and imprisoned on Earth by a nefarious cult, he languishes for decades before finally escaping. Cacophonous

I couldn’t do it. The overacting is so very cringe worthy and the layers of narration and background noises are way too much for my liking. There is a LOT of very loud very foul language, too. I couldn’t keep the story line with the constantly shifting scenes. I think I will try reading it myself- or just appreciate Coraline from this author and leave it at that.

Historia
Plucked from the Mark Twain archives at the University of California, Berkeley, Twain's notes now form the foundation of a fairy tale picked up over a century later. With only Twain's fragmentary script and a story that stops partway as his guide, author Philip Stead has written a tale that imagines what might have been if Twain had fully realized this work. This is a story that reaches through time and brings us the debut children's book of America's most legendary writer, envisioned by one of today's most important names in children's literature.

So enjoyed this! Laughed out loud at the witty humor of Twain. Keegan Michael Key is a joy to listen to and such a great comedic performer.

Historia
On the North American continent, Native American tribes carried out abductions against the new European settlers from the time they first set foot on eastern shores. Some of the women taken in the colonial to early American period went on to become respected figures in their new environments, while others lived out their lives as slaves.

Meh
Revisado: 01-14-21
Not really a inside story of the time spent in captivity- more like a newspaper article giving the known facts of the event. The narrator is both grating and monotone in an inappropriately upbeat way. It’s off-putting to here him read about a massacre with a lilting tone. I basically forced myself to finish it. Good thing it is short.
