Good job brother. Way to honor the creator and characters of Mr Flynn. I never thought that two “ghost writers” could keep this series going. Carry on the good work.

Minalan the Spellmonger has a problem: Mycin Amana, the undead consort of Korbal the Necromancer, is not only occupying one of the largest castles in the kingdom; she’s also occupying the recently-dead body of his former lover, rapist, and mother of his children, Isily of Greenflower. As the crises in the heart of the kingdom grows, Minalan is tasked to force the so-called Witch Queen of Darkfaller from her new stronghold using any means necessary. Unfortunately, the castle belongs to his rival in the royal court and future monarch Prince Tavard, whose ideas are doomed to failure.

This is another great novel by Mr. Mancour. I’m always amazed at his imagination that has kept this series so well developed. John Lee. Enough said.

Historia
One of the most admired nonfiction writers of our time retells the story of one truly fabulous year in the life of his native country - a fascinating and gripping narrative featuring such outsized American heroes as Charles Lindbergh, Babe Ruth, and yes Herbert Hoover, and a gallery of criminals (Al Capone), eccentrics (Shipwreck Kelly), and close-mouthed politicians (Calvin Coolidge). It was the year Americans attempted and accomplished outsized things and came of age in a big, brawling manner. What a country. What a summer. And what a writer to bring it all so vividly alive.

For time out of mind, bloodthirsty demons have stalked the night, culling the human race to scattered remnants dependent on half-forgotten magics to protect them. Then two heroes arose - men as close as brothers, yet divided by bitter betrayal. Arlen Bales became known as the Warded Man, tattooed head to toe with powerful magic symbols that enable him to fight demons in hand-to-hand combat-and emerge victorious.

Nails on a chalk board
Revisado: 11-30-17
I really enjoyed the preceeding installments of this series but this book is full of endless Arabic style honorifics. I tried to get past it but just can't stomach one more chapter to get to what will likely be a great ending.
Maybe I can return to it later, but for now, it's nails on a chalk board.

Historia
It has been 20 years since the end of the war. The dictatorial Augurs, once thought of almost as gods, were overthrown and wiped out during the conflict, their much-feared powers mysteriously failing them. Those who had ruled under them, men and women with a lesser ability known as the Gift, avoided the Augurs' fate only by submitting themselves to the rebellion's Four Tenets.

The ruthless Grand Duke Orso is locked in a vicious struggle with the squabbling League of Eight, and between them they have bled the land white. While armies march, heads roll, and cities burn, behind the scenes bankers, priests, and older, darker powers play a deadly game to choose who will be king.

Kill me now
Revisado: 05-10-15
What did you love best about Best Served Cold?
I don't know. Couldn't make it past chapter 8.
Would you listen to another book narrated by Michael Page?
No. His voice just isn't tolerable to me. It reminded me of "The Lies of Locke Lamora" which was not palatable to me either. So, it's me Mr Kramer, not you.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
Moving to my next title. Best movement of the month.
Any additional comments?
I hope I don't need to read this to get the rest of Abercrombie's novels or I'm done.
