Historia
I only try on one of Nina’s pristine white dresses once. Just to see what it’s like. But she soon finds out...and by the time I realize my attic bedroom door only locks from the outside, it’s far too late. But I reassure myself: The Winchesters don’t know who I really am. They don’t know what I’m capable of....

I wish I could put 2.5 stars for the story’s rating. I listened to the whole thing, so it wasn’t that bad. I have a few problems with it, though. The characters and story never felt like it had all that much depth, and it wasn’t all that suspense or mystery filled. The biggest twist I saw coming and most of the little ones too. Right when I felt myself feeling the suspense a little bit, the whole story shifts and it feels like a completely different book. The last thing which may only bother me was the story kept contradicting itself. Like in one part we are told the attic “isn’t stuffy, if anything it’s drafty” but is then described as stuffy in the very next chapter or a character moves something someone else left behind and then the book says it was right where the first person left it. These aren’t part of the story they are just mistakes, but I found myself more focused on them then what the characters were doing

I’ve listened to this book twice now. The story resonated with me so much that I feel like I may understand God a little more now. I’ve been meditating on the verse James 1:2 “…consider it joy when you face trials of many kinds…” and this story helps me work through this idea with a great example. Great read!
