The only good thing about this book was the narration. The beginning had a great premise but the follow through was horrific. All but the last few chapters I should've been in the children's section. I'm disappointed.I wasted my credit and hope to return it

The first one I liked a lot. It was intriguing, and I kept wanting to know what was going to happen next. The other 2 are interesting enough to keep listening. This one, I don't think I've read anything more. Vanilla and predictable in my life. And I don't mean sexually vanilla, although it was. I've had more interesting nights out to dinner with my girlfriends and would have you in tears telling you the story. I wish they would give me my credit back. I've returned one book in a year, and Audible says I'm over my limit . ugh

REALLY!?!?!

This is my first time reading JLA book/series. I was enthralled until I got to this one. The story and most especially the narrator. She did an excellent job. The narrator change was disconcerting but not too bad I kind of liked it. But the story pace, the repetitiveness and a heroine that doesn’t learn anything from one experience to the next WTF! It was painful to finish. I kept waiting for the story to get better, to pick up. It felt like the author was free writing while listening to the other part of the series or something. I went from listening Non-Stop through the first part of the series to taking two weeks to finish this one. And that was only because my imaginary OCD wouldn't let me just delete it out of my library. This is their world, a world of magic where anything is possible except a character that can put together a kindergarten puzzle that the reader figured out a book and a half ago. After being completely and utterly captured by the first part of this series this last book was an utter disappointment. I was going to buy the rest of her books because I like this series so much but now I think I’ll move on.
But the narrator though, give her a raise!

REALLY CANT SAY.

I probably should have read the reviews before I got this one. It appears that the story gets better as it goes along. I'm a fan of the author and some of her other books. But I just could not get past the narrator, her male voices are horrible. It felt more like she was reading us the story instead of telling it. I couldn't make it past chapter 3 and I tried.

I listened to the entire series . This one was a definite no for me. I became invested in the characters and the storyline over the first few volumes. Like most readers I had picked who I wanted the heroin to choose then was severely disappointed , confused and distracted by that storyline. I was still curious how she was going to win so I kept listening. However I spent most of my time checking the timer to see how long it would be before I could find out how things were going to turn out. Eventually even the joy of that faded because I couldn't figure out how a supposed super spy couldn't navigate the plots and traps presented to her, that my normal self could see coming a mile away. Overall I didn't enjoy it. I wish I could return the entire series but I don't think that would be fair to Audible since it took me so long to get through it.

Best narration I've heard in an audiobook, I didn't even realized the narrator was different until I considered why I liked it so much more than the first two. and the story was great as expected

Please finish the next one before I lose my s**t... I hate myself when I start reading incomplete series, Love them. Then have to wait to find out what happens to them. Hurry PLEASE!!!!!

narrator is better suited for children's books

The narrator is extremely distracting and off-putting. He over- exaggerates a lot. And the female characters sound snotty and or whiny. The story was as expected from Sherrilyn Kenyon and I liked it. I hope to God to never listen to another romance novel narrated by William Dufris. I cringed through much of it. It's nice when they find a narrator that works and they stick with them. I hate to hear books where they pronounce characters names one way in one book and another way in the next book. It makes me wonder if I missed something and need to do some research in the previous book. My advice for Ms. Kenyon consistency please. I also wonder did she listen to this herself and find it acceptable to produce and sell.

performance is pitiful

sounds as though she reading it verbatim. with awkward pauses and bad inflection. Horrible acting when voice in the male characters. It's very distracting I'd rather read the actual book.
