Historia
In 2022, Lisa Marie Presley asked her daughter to help finally finish her long-gestating memoir. A month later, Lisa Marie was dead, and the world would never know her story in her own words, never know the passionate, joyful, caring, and complicated woman that Riley loved and now grieved. Riley got the tapes that her mother had recorded for the book, lay in her bed, and listened as Lisa Marie told story after story about smashing golf carts together in the yards of Graceland, about the unconditional love she felt from her father, about being upstairs, just the two of them.

More weird rich celebrities….
Revisado: 10-14-24
It was good and interesting … but more weird rich celebrity stuff …. Lisa Marie is scary strange and definitely stunted emotionally and probably intellectually too … very unfortunate for her parents to not even see to her graduate high school . It’s pretty much poor little rich girl problems and her kids as well … same under educated spoiled rich kid stuff ….celebrity privilege Double edged sword.

Why did this have to end ?
Revisado: 07-02-24
Thank you Griffin for such a soulful retelling of your interesting life !!!!! Griffen lets you in … and there been lots of love , laughing and some serious tragedy. He narrates and I get it … no one should be telling his story but him !!! I’m in love :) The only complaint was why did it have to end … I’m praying for another book to come . If you love old Hollywood gossip and literary stars of the 60s and 70s and Carrie Fisher … you will love this book . Griffin lets you in … I highly recommend going in !!!!

Self indulgent ….
Revisado: 02-18-24
She disappoints in this … she paints herself as a very nice good girl . I believe her to an extent but she definitely is all about her looks and cashing in on them . She definitely suffers from not being very worldly and lacking higher education . She’s pretty boring and makes lots of terrible men decisions over and over which basically ruin her life and career or any hopes of a career…. She spends a lot of time trying to convince us she’s a good Mother and Christian but she falls short every time bc of some good looking dude… No great gossip her she not only does not discuss the bling ring connection or break in of her home rather or her nieces sudden death :( She does paint a very very very bad pic of her ex husband BMX rider Corey …. which makes her look worse bc she choose to have a baby with him and marry him … stupid choice …. again …. I dont feel sorry for her but I think she did not get the right kind of support growing up . Hopefully she does better than her parents with her daughter . ok gossip about the Hills …. ok .

Historia
In July of 1991, the country was shocked by the unfathomable crimes of serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. But no one was more shocked than his parents. In A Father's Story, the listener becomes witness to the incremental unraveling of a parent's image of their child, and the thousand different reactions that follow. In his attempt to understand the nature of his son's psychosis, Lionel Dahmer methodically scrutinizes every possible contributing factor to his son's madness. His desperation is palpable as he searches for clues in the emotional, psychological, and genetic landscape of his son's life.

I can’t say I feel for this Father ..,. He’s definitely guilty of a lot of blame …. A lot of enabling of his clearly mentally unstable son …. From almost birth JD was a bad seed . Born to a Mother who was traumatized and mentally unstable and a Father with some kind of rating on the autism spectrum. Jeffrey Dahmer himself probably was somewhere on the spectrum as well . No one brought in any real support , Dad just kept hoping things would get better and then he pawned his rotten son off on his own Mother. The whole story is an experiment in what not to do as a parent and spouse. This man is the definition of emotionally unavailable and probably should have been charged as an accessory to his sons crimes … Perfect example of not everyone should be parents .

Revisado: 11-29-22
Well ….. if your fascinated with stories and memoirs about drug addicts especially well know people this is pretty good …. But he’s really kind of a whiny little B…. Here’s this dude who is definitely talented but everything really was laid out for him by his semi talented journey man actor Dad and his gorgeous Mom … he’s funny and good looking and Hollywood just opens doors for him everywhere and he becomes hugely rich and famous …. But he’s such a pill popping , commitment phobic he can’t rise to any occasion or find the “happiness” he says he’s searching for … I don’t believe he really wants to be happy . He blames his parents divorce and his unaccompanied minor traveling as a kid on his drug struggles but I’m sure there’s deeper problems here mental and physical abuse/ trauma but he does not go into any of that which is unfortunate because I probably would have liked his story more. He’s hard to root for because he whines and complains so much then humble brags about his millions it’s a little annoying … did I waste a credit on this … no … I was a huge friends fan and I loved his character but I don’t love this guy …

Historia
The name Armand Hammer conjures up many aspirational ideals. Billionaire. Industrialist. Successful businessman. Philanthropist. Art collector. It sounds like the idealized American success story. However, the reality of growing up Hammer had a very dark side, with very real consequences. Violence. Addiction. Abuse. These are just some of the realities that Casey Hammer, the only granddaughter of Armand Hammer, had to overcome. As dark as her recollections are, Casey's is a story of survival, hope, and inspiration. Lift the veil and see the realities of growing up Hammer.

This sad lady ….
Revisado: 11-20-22
Well Casey has definitely not had it easy …. The Hammer family completely betrayed this little girl Hammer and shame on all of them … including her Mother and especially her disgusting Brother …. Horrible people who are lead by their horrible leader of the clan who made all the money …. They all have to worship at Armand Hammers bequest …which of coarse he Lords the money and power over all their heads in a disgusting narcissistic way …. They are a cautionary tale …, What not to do with family wealth … they basically all molest , drug , drink and carelessly with no real loyalty slime through life … Casey spent most of her life trying to find someone who cared for her at all … every close person in her family betrayed her … She does not get into the Arnie Hammer gross ness he’s her Nephew by her disgusting Brother … she slogs through her sad story from birth with a bit of an ex addicts slur which is disturbing by itself … I feel terrible for Casey and I wish she got into more of her salvation of herself… Maybe in her next book … I was left feeling a little depressed… So sorry Casey ….

Rags to Riches
Revisado: 10-16-22
I feel very bad for this tortured soul … he was definitely traumatized by sexual predators at a young age… his head was really messed with . I wish they could have explained more in depth exactly how his gifts came to light . There was a lot about his terrible personality quirks and very bad habits … abusing drugs and alcohol…, very very promiscuous sexually even with his HIV diagnosis he still delved deep into drugs and unprotected sex …. He was a very sad, aggressive, kind of mean person and a kind of gross person too ….. He was surrounded by fashion vampires of coarse so there’s lots of info on those freaks but we never really find out the extent of this guys gifts and genius the real origin’s . Very tawdry information here not a lot of deep material on his talent and it’s origins. I definitely have less of an opinion on him now because of this book .

"The figure looking back at me was little more than a skeleton with just a thin layer of tissue paper for skin, drawn over the stick-like bones. I stood staring for a good couple of minutes, considering what I'd become. And my verdict? Brilliant, I thought. It's been worth every moment of all that hard work". Say the name Nikki Grahame and most people will remember the bubbly, highly strung and hugely entertaining Big Brother 7 contestant.

Well …. What the heck ??????
Revisado: 10-03-22
This gal was sick …. This poor thing …. But the thing is how did she get this ill????? Her parents got divorced and then she quickly slipped into seriously debilitating hard core Eating disorder at the tender age of 8 ….. that’s like really young to become this mentally ill …. I wish she would have really let us in more on her real diagnosis. I think there was a lot more to this story that we were not really clued in about . How this child got this sick that fast at that young of age . There’s something not adding up …. You never really learn much about what really was bothering this person . Unfortunately she is gone now and with her death we will never know what made this girl really tick . She had a really rough childhood but not so much from the divorce of her parents but all the hospitals she was living in because she was in some kind of battle to win eating disorder person of the year … it’s crazy what she went through…. Im sorry she’s gone . Sad story really not a lot here to learn other than how severe an eating disorder can get . I wish there was more info about her real diagnosis and what compelled her to the edge especially at such a young age . RIp Nikki …

Historia
Jennette McCurdy was six years old when she had her first acting audition. Her mother’s dream was for her only daughter to become a star, and Jennette would do anything to make her mother happy. So she went along with what Mom called “calorie restriction." She endured extensive at-home makeovers while Mom chided, “Your eyelashes are invisible, okay? You think Dakota Fanning doesn’t tint hers?” She was even showered by Mom until age sixteen while sharing her diaries, email, and all her income. In I’m Glad My Mom Died, Jennette recounts all this in unflinching detail.

Revisado: 09-07-22
Nothing really interesting or unique here …. I love a celebrity memoir but I like them to be a bit more honest and transparent and interesting …. Let’s hear about the lifestyle and the parties . This is about her Mother mostly who was your typical garden variety Momanger but a Mormam with some weird parenting techniques.., I kept waiting for it to get good and I gave up finally with maybe 2 hours left . Maybe I missed the big finish but I don’t really care . She’s just not interesting enough or famous enough to really care about. Sorry…,boring!!!!!!!!!
