Amazing work!

This is the best story I’ve heard in a long time. Beautifully written and the narration is amazing. This book is truly a masterpiece. I was unable to stop listening as I laughed and cried until the end of this incredible story. I did not want it to end . I loved the realistic language of the writer and the accents and voices of the narrator. I can’t say enough about how much this book touched me and left me feeling like I had experienced something very special. Amazing characters, writing, and storytelling

Why are you reading a review of book 11? If you have listened to books 1 - 10 you are going to get this one. If you haven't, go check out book 1. This series is incredible.

Excellent academy style story. Definitely check it out.

If you like like academy style stories like Ender's Game or any number of manga or anime of that genre then this one is definitely for you. My only criticism is the fact that some of the voicework is inconsistent. For example, one of the main characters goes from a French to Scottish accent somewhere between books 1 and 2 but the story itself was good enough that I was able to let that go even if it was annoying.

Ender's Game meets Anime

If you like like academy style stories like Ender's Game or any number of manga or anime of that genre then this one is definitely for you. My only criticism is the fact that some of the voicework is inconsistent. For example, one of the main characters goes from a French to Scottish accent somewhere between books 1 and 2 but the story itself was good enough that I was able to let that go even if it was annoying.

I couldn't finish this one.

This review only covers about the first third of the book because I just couldn't go any further. The MC is basically Mr. Magoo. He just stumbles blindly through the story and everything works out through luck. I just couldn't take anymore. I don't know, maybe the author turns it around somehow eventually but I just couldn't stick it out long enough to find out.

CAUSALITY. CAUSE-AL-IT-EE, NOT Casualty.

Overall it was not terrible. I like the main character well enough but there are a few things that just don't work. Some of the writing is a little disjointed. Just an example there is this part where it's like "(no name, no spoiler) held them off with his machine gun arms." And I am just sitting there going "huh, guess that guy has machine gun arms." Things just kind of came out of nowhere and were presented as if they had been previously explained. Also some of the abilities and powers are not on par with other books like Primal Hunter, Defiance of The Fall, or Azarinth Healer. The magical combat chef was just silly. Finally, too many stats for an audiobook. Read it if you are still interested so you can skip ahead easier because every time he gets a new ability the ENTIRE stat page gets repeated. I know at least one it was like two or three times in one chapter.

Really great story.

If you are a fan of the humor in Dungeon Crawler Carl or He Who Fights With Monsters, you will like this one. Likeable MC, interesting system and stats are given a little too often but it's super quick and not something that causes you to skip whole sections, so it didn't really bother me. Well worth the credit and I immediately spent another on the second one after finishing it.
