What disappointed you about The Emotional Intelligence Activity Kit?

Very Robotic. The book was for instructors and not for me. Waste of money.

What could Adele B. Lynn and Janele R. Lynn have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Stop the generic words used for a book. Yawn.

How did the narrator detract from the book?

Robotic.

What character would you cut from The Emotional Intelligence Activity Kit?

All the activity stuff - that totally lost me.

Any additional comments?

Not as expected.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

Book acts the part in trying to teach rigorous leadership style, and I think some readers will over indulge to their demise. Book tries to wrap itself around success companies and then wrapping it's material around that to sell principles. Book lacks creditability on the principles.Disciplined people and companies are all around us...KPI's are everywhere. I know a major brand that has no discipline and they are growing and have been for decades. It's really the right strategy and flywheels that work, not always the points being sold in the book - at least to me. The Crocker example is a bad one, Well's is not the best of employers - what is Well's turn over rate!

Would you be willing to try another book from Jim Collins? Why or why not?

No.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Chapter one, I just skipped it completely. No learning. Too much over-indulging in interviews. Kind of like author was trying to be a Steve Covey and missed.

Did Good to Great inspire you to do anything?

Honestly, No.

If you could sum up The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, 10th Anniversary Edition in three words, what would they be?

Great physiological tactics on strengthening your leadership abilities.

What did you like best about this story?

Influence, connection stories, relationship building with the RIGHT people into your inter circle.

Have you listened to any of John Maxwell’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

N/A

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

I like the story about courage to talk with someone and not worry about being "dressed down.' Great example, it stuck with me!

Any additional comments?

Using Lance Armstrong is a bad idea since he won via drug use and got supported with tons of free cash from Nike. Nike never has had good relationships within their own people and has had a host of labor relationship issues with large turnover at their logistics chains.

Clear.

Did The Persistent Duck inspire you to do anything?

Yes, tell stories in interviews to sell a point.

Any additional comments?

Not a lot of additional substance...not the points were good and were "take aways."
