Wow! The sequel is just as amazing and I enjoyed every bit of the story. The amazing world building is expanded and there are many moving pieces that also had just as many unexpected surprises. The character development continues as they each grow and learn. It's a wonderful read with a lot of emotions that really moved me. I can't wait for the next book!

This is such a fantastic and unique take on Arthurian legend with fey, humans, and demi fey. Some parts of the world, like France, have gone complicit with the fey take over and turning over Demi fey to be killed. There's a rebellion against the fey and Nia ends up in the middle of it. She's smart and thinks on her feet. Raphael discovers she has powers and has her train at Avalon Tower. I love how the author wove the Arthurian tale into this book. I look forward to the sequel!

This is the case of "why did I wait so long to read this?" I really enjoyed listening to the book from beginning to end. It held my attention the entire time.

Brexley is intelligent and does everything she can to survive. She found allies, but also made enemies during her time in the prison. She's been though and seen so much, yet still came out on top. She didn't let anything break her spirit and will to survive. Warwick is a living legend and feared. He's lethal in every way, yet Brexley can't help but be a moth to the flame. I'm so ready for book 2!

Wow, I love this story so much. The narrators are incredibly talented and I really enjoyed listening to the book. They really brought the story to life with the phenomenal writing. Hephaestus and Aphrodite are my new favorite couple. Their witty banter turning into something more..whew (fans self) I absolutely adore Heph.

wonderful story

The second chance romance is about Tasha and Jericho. They were college sweethearts until a devastating news caused Tasha to uproot and leave college, not returning, and not saying goodbye to Jericho. Fate brought them back together when she and her sisters opened up a catering company and Jericho opened his restaurant across the street. It took awhile, but after some mending and seeing that they still love each other, they reconciled. Of course, not without some drama when Jericho's astranged mother returns to cash in on her son's wealth. Beautiful story!

I didn't like the narration of the book that much. It was a bit monotone. I was hoping for more excitement and emotion, but fell short. It was read well, otherwise.

Sadly boring

The book is insanely slow moving and doesn't have much excitement outside of the sex scenes. There's no plot and is mostly just about sex. There's also a lack of character development. You don't get much out of their background.. for 2 people dating and wanting to get to know each other, they barely skimmed the surface. Holli has zero personality and just seems to go with the flow with everything, staying by Dalton's side, hardly showing emotion through most of the book, with her thoughts only and always filled about Dalton and how much she misses him.

Alexandria is a pretty good narrator. Not much voice acting, but her voice is great and is nice to listen to if the book wasn't on the boring side.

The book started out strong with a stubborn and independent woman. Ruby was to marry Nile so her father could form alliances and stay on the king's good side. Ruby has grown up learning the ways of a knight, practicing sword fighting and jousting. I really liked Ruby in the beginning. Once the story delved deeper, I started to think she is dense and air headed to go along with her annoyingly stubborn nature. I did like her due to her not confirming to what's expected of a lady and a wife. But she doesn't know when to stop talking and spills secrets she's not supposed to tell, which often endangers herself and others. She acts, but never thinks about the consequences and how it can negatively affect others. Nile was the opposite. I thought he was annoying at first but grown to like him. The suspense surrounding Nile's previous 3 wives deaths is a mystery and he chose Ruby knowing she can defend herself. The book was on the slow side and very predictable. I did enjoy the character development and their growing relationship.

Stan is an excellent narrator and I enjoyed his voice acting. There are moments where there are murmurs and whispers that he goes into character with. The only problem with that is it's too soft hear at a normal volume. I often have to rewind and raise the volume just to hear what was said then turn the volume back down.

Fantastic Finale

Yet another amazing story! Mia and Dominic face other problems than the Chess Piece mafia. There's collusion, conspiracies, deception and plot twists. Eva wove a spider web of interlinking plots that all tie in together which made such a thrilling book to listen to. I particularly enjoyed the were origins, sacred texts, and old laws. The history Eva included throughout the series is fascinating. Tons of action and the story had me on edge wanting to keep listening. No loose ends and great closure for Mia and Dominic.

Christina has done another wonderful narration. Her accents are on point!

Mia is learning were rules, hierarchy and her place has a human pet. I love her for her continued defiance, not liking her bottom status and questioning her position as human pet. She's intelligent, snarky and funny. In this book she faces many challenges and dangers. Dominic does his best to show Mia how to behave in a pack and does everything he can to protect her. There are sexy and steamy scenes as well as action with mild violence. Mia also learns about were history, where they came from and how they are created. It's very interesting and not typical, which I like. Eva created a unique lichen world that's different and she thought of every detail. I'm looking forward to reading the 3rd book.

Augusta has a great voice and reading. There's not much voice acting but I liked her accents for a few minor characters. Longer pauses when a scene or POV changes would have been nice. Other than that I really enjoyed listening.

Amazing story!

Such a fantastic book! I was drawn in from beginning to end. The characters are relatable and have detailed depth and development. Mia is an awesome heroine and despite being in witness protection, she's a strong woman and a survivor. Dominic displays typical alpha behavior of what I expected. I think they are perfect for each other. He may be alpha, but she doesn't easily submit. She's quite strong willed and a badass axe wielding chick.

I really enjoyed the depth of the world building and the were society Eva has portrayed. Immense thought and detail to how rankings work and pack life.

Meghan did a wonderful job reading. Her voice and nice and sultry, which I think fits well for the book. The character voice acting is pretty good.
