Historia
In an abandoned mansion at the heart of Barcelona, a young man, David Martin, makes his living by writing sensationalist novels under a pseudonym. The survivor of a troubled childhood, he has taken refuge in the world of books and spends his nights spinning baroque tales about the city's underworld. But perhaps his dark imaginings are not as strange as they seem, for in a locked room deep within the house lie photographs and letters hinting at the mysterious death of the previous owner.

Historia
The lives of two very different couples - an officer and his aristocratic wife, and a young soldier and his childhood sweetheart - are irrevocably intertwined and forever changed in this stunning World War I epic of love and war. Moving among Ypres, London, and Paris, this emotionally rich and evocative novel is both a powerful exploration of the lasting effects of war on those who fight - and those who don't - and a poignant testament to the enduring power of love.

Historia
Narrator Dan Stevens ( Downton Abbey) presents an uncanny performance of Mary Shelley's timeless gothic novel, an epic battle between man and monster at its greatest literary pitch. In trying to create life, the young student Victor Frankenstein unleashes forces beyond his control, setting into motion a long and tragic chain of events that brings Victor to the very brink of madness. How he tries to destroy his creation, as it destroys everything Victor loves, is a powerful story of love, friendship, scientific hubris, and horror.

Dan Stevens is one of the best narrators!
Revisado: 03-24-15
What made the experience of listening to Frankenstein the most enjoyable?
Dan Stevens can virtually take you to the book setting and move you forward with the characters. He does not disappoint you and will leave you wanting more.
Who was your favorite character and why?
Frankenstein because his tale moves you.
What about Dan Stevens’s performance did you like?
He is incredibly talented as an actor and as a narrator. No wonder he was nominated for two 2013 Audie Awards - for male Classic & Solo Narrator. His performance is flawless. I have a hard time separating myself from the story.
If you could take any character from Frankenstein out to dinner, who would it be and why?
The captain.
Any additional comments?
I have downloaded all the books narrated by Dan Stevens. Excellent performance in every single book. Can't wait for more books performed by him.
