Historia
An interview recorded on an iPhone. A police interrogation tape. An FBI wire. At the center of them all is a writer researching a legal thriller...or is he? And somewhere within those recordings is the truth about a murder trial and a web of lies stretching back three decades.

Historia
In a world where magic has disappeared, rival nations vie for power in a continent devastated by war. So when a young farm girl named Livia demonstrates magical powers for the first time in a century, there are many across the land that will kill to obtain her power. Duke Gothelm's tallymen, the blood-soaked Qeltine Brotherhood, and cynical mercenary Josten Cade: All are searching for Livia and the power she wields. But Livia finds that guardians can come from the most unlikely places and that the old gods are returning to a world they abandoned.

Great book, a little off
Revisado: 11-06-20
The book is exciting and I couldn’t stop reading the whole time. However, there was a few discrepancies, first the characters reactions are mostly underwhelming, and the world-building is a little choppy, trying to keep the twelve deities in mind was difficult. Other than this, the book was exceptional with great battle scenes and plot.

Historia
King Shrewd is dead at the hands of his son Regal. As is Fitz - or so his enemies and friends believe. But with the help of his allies and his beast magic, he emerges from the grave, deeply scarred in body and soul. The kingdom also teeters toward ruin: Regal has plundered and abandoned the capital, while the rightful heir, Prince Verity, is lost to his mad quest - perhaps to death. Only Verity's return - or the heir his princess carries - can save the Six Duchies.

Robin Hobb’s creativity and use of imagery is incredible!
Revisado: 11-02-20
Robin Hobb’s ability to express her creativity with implacable use of imagery is incredible and inspiring. What strikes me as the most impressive is how merciless she was towards Fitzchivalry, and how easily the entire story came together.
