You just have to love Bob Hume and his sister Bertie. What a cranky couple of siblings! This book is expertly narrated by Angus King, who always does such an amazing job of bringing the personalities of each character to life. As usual, JD Kirk weaves a complex but quite believable action packed story to life. Thank you for another Scottish gem.

I just love these characters, including Heather. A bunch of oddball superheroes performing grizzly tasks using gallows humor as often as possible. Excellent writing and of course, Angus King is amazing.

JD Kirk is excellent at character development. So when something happens to one of my favorites, it’s even more upsetting because it’s like it’s happening to a friend. Angus King is the perfect storyteller who brings all the life to these characters. What a great duo!
