Fun short stories
Revisado: 02-27-23
This is a fun little addition to the Pretanni world. Once again the magic is in the spotlight, this time with the curses being the primary focus. It also shows what happens to some of the characters that we were introduced to and seeing where they have ended up after we saw them the last time. It is a great addition to the series and really adds another element to the world.
The strength of the novel is the magic, and how all of it ended up being tied up by the author at the end. It is handled with excellent precision and once again makes me excited for this series. I am excited to see what Mr. Mollman continues to have in store for us with all of his future plans for this wonderful world!

A fantastice sequel
Revisado: 02-27-23
I continue to find myself really enjoying this series by Mike Mollman. It continues shortly where the first one ended, and allows us to see more of what the Druids can do. It was great to see more of the political side of the Druid council but once again we are on a wonderful quest with high stakes. With griffins, centaurs, and shape shifters all making an appearance, this is a series that uses some lesser known fantasy elements in fun and intriguing ways.
Once again, the strength of the novel was the magic systems that are in full display. It really highlights some of the elements that were just hinted at last time and makes them a more integral part of the story. It was really fun with the nephew making a return and helping on this quest. The shape shifting continues to remain one of my favorite points, especially when it highlights what the Druids truly stand for. It was great to once again see the weaknesses to the magic as well. All of the elements are well thought out and unique, especially when they are used in the battles and other elements. The world is interesting and we get to see more of it in this novel.
I highly recommend this series for a unique take on common fantasy elements that are usually just in the background. I really like seeing the druids as the main characters and being a true steadfast fantasy character. I can see lots of people chanting “I need more Druid!” after reading this second story. I count myself as one of them. Give yourself a treat and change into the mindset that this series should be on your list to read soon!!
Thank you for taking the time to read my review. As always, happy reading and Stay Great!!

Fantastic Druids
Revisado: 02-01-23
This was a novel that took me completely by surprise. It introduces you to the character in one of the best ways that I have seen, creating a connection to him in a way that was fun and interesting. It was also a much deeper story than what I had anticipated going into it. There is a lot of heart, as well as a lot of fun as the adventures occur within the ranks of the Druids. A new take on something that may feel familiar, but will once again stir the hearts of readers to a new found love for nature and great stories!
The strength of the novel is the magic of the Druids. It was so great to see that it was not one size fits all, but it was unique among all of them with consequences of misuse. This made the characters unique and individual with their own desires. It constantly kept me going seeing the different versions of magic and how it was cleverly utilized. It is a shorter novel, and the pacing moves fast. A strong novel on its own but can leave the reader wanting a lot more!
This is a great read for those looking for a magical quest, with unique magic and fun characters around every turn. Perfect for those who love the mentor in the books and legends. I would wager that this will be one that the readers will think of often and with a lot of fondness. I look forward to the future installments of the Druids, wondering what more the author has in store for us. It is unique and a great story for those looking for a solid fantasy read!

A Promising Start
Revisado: 12-05-22
Conspiracy is an excellent start to a series with a lot of promise. The reader is immediately thrown into the political chaos of the fictional kingdom of Wahrheit. There are a variety of perspectives, each with their own opinions and views of what is happening. The author is able to balance these in an interesting and fascinating way that allows the reader to experience the feelings of the characters in a variety of ways. The conspiracy of what is happening makes it exciting and interesting to jump from character to character. There were a couple of characters where it felt more like building the sequel rather than adding to the story of the first book.
The strength of this novel were the characters. It is a decent sized cast of characters, each with their own personality and perspective of what is happening. There are several that I really enjoyed reading and looked forward to the chapters where they were the highlight. But as I said, there were a couple where I felt the narrative just took a small turn and lost some of the flow that I was expecting. I look forward to what could be done with this series in future installments from these viewpoints though.
Overall, Conspiracy is a great epic fantasy with a lot of political intrigue. It is a fast paced with some heart pounding action, including dragon knights and gun toting soldiers. I never thought guns and dragons could mix, but this is done in an excellent manner. The story is really brought to life in the audio format by the talented Mr. Travis Baldree. This provides a lot of personality to many of these fascinating characters. Mr. Cobble has provided a solid start to what will be a very interesting series that I look forward to continuing.

A master of Worldbuilding
Revisado: 11-22-22
Andrew Meredith is a master of world building, painting a world with words that is truly beautiful and majestic. It has a life of its own, immersing the reader in a way that very few can. It is a book that will remain with you in all of the right ways. It is not just the world that will draw you in, as all of the characters are unique and individual as well. The paths that the characters walk are unique and woven together in a way that shows a master craftsman at work.
The strength of this book is easily the world that is brought to life through the lives of the characters in each of their own individual paths. The journey that each of them has, add to the life and history that is brought to life on each and every page. It can be a bit overwhelming as it is deep and every little item has been carefully crafted to fit perfectly in its proper place. The author has kindly provided a few glossaries that help a reader to navigate the many intricacies of the world and keep the reader going in a story that is full of heart and soul in every last page.
The characters will each vie for their own attention at a variety of times, but each reader will find their favorite as they are able to relate to similar feelings in their own lives. Andrew also keeps it exciting when the conflict does come into play, making it real and breath taking. This is read for those who are looking for a rich and detailed read. It is deep and will require a lot of focus. The audio, which is performed by the author, can help with this. It allows for the pronunciations and characters to have yet another layer that is expertly crafted. Overall, you can feel the passion that the author has for each and every one of the characters, and even more so for the world that he has so expertly crafted.

A Sci Fi Adventure
Revisado: 11-02-22
Moon Deeds is a very interesting and character driven futuristic sci fi adventure. It paints the picture of Earth, but it has been changed with the invasion from extraterrestrial life. The magic that is mixed in with a futuristic science setting, makes it really interesting. There were times that the book felt more like an epic fantasy and then changed gears to a true Sci-Fi novel. It is true to the rules that it has set for itself, and leads to an interesting premise for the characters.
The strength of this novel was the characters. The reader spends a lot of time with the twins and it was an interesting dynamic to see the differences between them. They each have their strengths and weaknesses, making them feel real and interesting. There were times through the novel that I struggled with some of the pacing. It was interesting, but not overly exciting. That being said, I still wanted to know what would happen and it was easy to move to the next page and chapter. I did a combination read of both audio and physical, which definitely helped to get through some of the pacing issues that I had.
This is a futuristic tale of invasion that adds some of the really cool magic elements that I always like in a true epic fantasy. I really liked the world that was developed, with the tension between surviving and escaping. The emotions of the characters were real and the questions of what was happening definitely can hook a reader into wanting to know more. Make sure that you have your deed and claim a parcel of the moon to sit back and enjoy a good read of Sci-Fi magic adventure.

All Ren wants to do is stop a serial killer, clear his name, and protect the people he cares about. Heist and Adventure
Revisado: 10-07-22
This is a heist story that appeals to all kinds of fantasy readers! It has humor, adventure, and a mystery that will keep you glued to the pages (or in my case, headphones) until the very end. It reads very quickly and keeps the intrigue without being repetitive. I was hooked into what was happening and then blown away with the action. It was exciting and kept me wondering what would happen next.
The strength of this novel were the characters. I loved the interaction between Ren and Haim, constantly enjoying the banter that would occur between the two characters. This strength also allows for a quick attachment to the characters, making you care what happens to them as they attempt their heists and adventures. It is an intriguing world, but I look to have it expanded in future installments. The reader is given just enough, but there is the potential to know so much more, allowing them to be fully immersed. The magic was very cool as well and played a huge part in the story that is told.
This is a series and author that I will be keeping on my radar. Heist stories are some of my favorites, and this is one that I will put near the top. Full of not just the humor, but action and peril, as well as sadness at the appropriate times. This book should be talked about, as well as read and recommended. Sit down and let Ren steal your imagination as he sets out on an adventure he didn’t see coming.

A Great Epic Fantasy
Revisado: 09-30-22
The Iron Crown lives up to the hype. It reminds me of the epic fantasy novels that I grew up with. The magic is intriguing and creates a world that is fascinating to discover as the pages rapidly turn. It is engaging, exciting, and many other things. It also has a unique take on dragons that makes it a lot of fun to read and to figure out how it all works out in the grand scheme of things. The characters are beautifully flawed, with each having a weakness to either overcome or succumb to.
The strength of this novel are the wonderful characters that the reader has the pleasure to meet throughout the course of the novel. They all are well thought out and hold their own as individuals, each with strengths and flaws. There were a couple of times I wondered about the timing of how characters ended up in certain areas but this does not effect the story at all.
It is a fun and interesting novel of adventure, mystery, and family. It will pull on the heart strings while taking your breath away with the awesomeness of adventure that awaits within its pages. The novel sets up what promises to be a great and interesting new adventure series in a wonderful fantasy world filled with dragons and griffins. Do yourself a favor and pick up The Iron Crown for your next read!
I listened to the audio of this novel, which is fantastically done! Highly recommend the experience as R.J. Bayley once again does a fantastic job of making the story come to life.

An Outlaw Tale
Revisado: 09-17-22
The Pariah is a clever tale, making readers reflect on common outlaw tales like Robin Hood. It is a more realistic tale, reading as more of magic less type of fantasy with the base being the elimination of an outlaw group, throwing the main character into an adventure of trying to survive and discover what his personal motivations might be. Consistently following leaders, there are many different types of situations that are within the pages, ranging from robbery, imprisonment, and battles. Each of them are written with a brutal and gritty efficiency that make them stand out.
The strength of the novel is the gritty world in which the story is set. The reader receives enough backstory and hints, that it allows them to create a full and interesting world without being overwhelmed with the amount of details that could easily distract and bore. The pacing of the novel was a little different, with the main character becoming close to every leader that he came into contact with. This led to some harder parts to get through, as many of the characters are exchanged for new ones.
The Pariah is a good outlaw tale, full of brutal and bloody violence, and an overall tale of discovery. It is exciting and has a lot of hints of what could be expected in future installments. There is a lot of enjoyment, with a writing prose that is expertly crafted, making for an easy read.

A fantastic tale
Revisado: 09-01-22
Thrice is a nice quick read that is exciting and entertaining. It has a very interesting story with a magic system that is well explained and thought out. There are many characters that readers will begin to love and enjoy the journey that they are forced to undertake. I found that this was a great breath of fresh air, thrilling, exciting, and intriguing.
The strength of this novel was the characters. There are a variety of them that are very easy to relate to. Jovan and Leaf became instant favorites of mine, the opposites attract type of relationship between mentor and child. The only issue with the characters was me trying to remember the age of Leaf, with the actions that he does, even though the author does an awesome job of making sure that the readers are reminded often. The biggest thing I wanted more of is the world, knowing the magic throughout the rest. This is something that I am sure we will see in the future installations.
Thrice is one that is suitable for all types of readers. It has adventure, revenge, crime syndicates, and a mystery that will keep readers guessing up to the end. I did the audio and the author does a fantastic job of this as well! This is an exciting new series with a ton of potential and promise!!
