Historia
Rainn Wilson’s memoir about growing up geeky and finally finding his place in comedy, faith, and life. For nine seasons Rainn Wilson played Dwight Schrute, everyone's favorite work nemesis and beet farmer. Viewers of The Office fell in love with the character and grew to love the actor who played him even more. Rainn founded a website and media company, SoulPancake, that eventually became a best-selling book of the same name. He also started a hilarious Twitter feed (sample tweet: “I'm not on Facebook” is the new “I don't even own a TV”).

Rainn (two ‘n’s’ and you will find out why) brings us into his world from growing up and through his Office years. His narration and ability to tell a story is brilliant. Regardless of your knowledge of his acting career, his writing will keep you engaged, enjoying his wit and humor.

Historia
Actress and playwright Tina Alexis Allen's audacious memoir unravels her privileged suburban Catholic upbringing that was shaped by her formidable father - a man whose strict religious devotion and dedication to his large family hid his true nature. When Tina was 18 her father accidently discovered the truth about her sexuality. Instead of dragging her to the family priest and lecturing her with tearful sermons about sin and damnation, her father shocked her with his honest response. The two became trusted confidants in a relationship that eventually spiraled out of control.

A beautifully written piece

The voice, the narrative, the contrast, so personal and relevant, takes you on a journey that you will not soon forget. So many of us hide our families past with the author takes us into her world, as seen through her eyes and heart. So poignant and beautiful. Tears will come easy.

Historia
Meet Ove. He's a curmudgeon - the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him "the bitter neighbor from hell". But behind the cranky exterior there is a story and a sadness.

Brilliant
Revisado: 03-29-17
Would you consider the audio edition of A Man Called Ove to be better than the print version?
I have no read the print version, however, the voice was well done and was clear throughout.
What other book might you compare A Man Called Ove to and why?
Similar to the Olive Kittredge book (HBO turned into a program). It is a great story about something very simple; life. From the point of view where many can relate (especially men of the older generations) and women can relate to the men in their lives, fathers, lovers, brothers, etc.
Which character – as performed by George Newbern – was your favorite?
Obviously the main character, Ove.
Who was the most memorable character of A Man Called Ove and why?
Still, Ove. How he shared so little but you still felt the challenges he faced and the feelings he kept covered up.
Any additional comments?
Brilliantly done. Well written and a definite 'page' turner!
