The identity comes first: Evie Porter. Once she’s given a name and location by her mysterious boss, Mr. Smith, she learns everything there is to know about the town and the people in it. Then the mark: Ryan Sumner. The last piece of the puzzle is the job. Evie isn’t privy to Mr. Smith’s real identity, but she knows this job isn't like the others. Ryan has gotten under her skin, and she’s starting to envision a different sort of life for herself. But Evie can’t make any mistakes—especially after what happened last time.

Head Turning!
Revisado: 11-07-20
Excellent book. The characters are well developed. People can relate to the main character and sympathize with him. A little predictable, but well written and engaging read! I can’t wait to read Book 2.

Historia
The International Butter Festival has come to town! When Harlow Torrent, part-time journalist and full-time Slip Witch stumbles upon a dead body, frozen and drained of blood, she's pulled into a murder mystery. Someone has murdered one of the Festival competitors. Was it Zero Bend, punk sculptor with a history of violence? Perhaps Fusion Swan, a sleazy agent playing the publicity game when his clients meet their end.

Hard to listen to
Revisado: 09-11-20
These books were very similar to another series I listened to. However, the other series kept my attention. I found it very difficult to focus on the story. It went a little slow and was difficult to get through. I did finish the series but can honestly say there is nothing special about it. There was no ‘wow’ factor. The mysteries were predictable and there weren’t any twists or turns to keep you guessing.

Well organized!
Revisado: 08-28-19
This audiobook was well organized and follows a logical progression. Each section builds upon the previous one. The chapters aren’t isolated. There is a review and continuation of vocabulary in each lesson. The narrator does a great job with pacing and pronunciation. This is one of the best programs I have used.

Historia
After two rollicking adventures through Western literature, resourceful literary detective Thursday Next definitely needs some downtime. And what better place for a respite than in the hidden depths of the Well of Lost Plots, where all unpublished books reside? But peace and quiet remain elusive for Thursday, who soon discovers that the Well is a veritable linguistic free-for-all, where grammasites run rampant, plot devices are hawked on the black market, and lousy books—like the one she has taken up residence in—are scrapped for salvage.

Well done!
Revisado: 07-16-18
This third book in the Thursday Next series is my favorite so far. The characters are well written, the plot sustains interest all the way through. I didn’t want to put it down. I particularly enjoyed the readings from other well known classics. I can’t wait to read the fourth in the series!
