Entertaining Hero Story

I needed the hero story of #44 and his best friend at a time when our country is facing such peril and division. I loved the mix of mystery, suspense, and the complexity to relationships. A great read!

I thoroughly enjoyed Ms. McGee's narration of this work. She makes SO many points about how racism has undermined the well being of the American people. ZI recommend this book as foundational to ending the hatred sown in the fabric of our country.

An amazing lesson in American History!

This comprehensive work of the history of our country is a mandatory read for those seeking truth and longing for real reconciliation for all American citizens. Those that view this as divisive and unnecessary cannot in clear conscience embrace the intent of the Declaration of Independence. No one can really be free AND whole until we ALL are free AND made whole. Prayfully we'll get there as a nation.

Her Business is Inspiring!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I absolutely love her voice and appreciate her for narrating. I felt like we were sitting together while she shared her life stories, wisdom, and encouragement. I recommend this book to all that need a lift but especially to young, ambitious women so they can stay on the path to fulfilling their dreams.

It was difficult to hear the stories of our plight as black women in America but I am glad I continued to listen until the end. The stories then captured the resilience, strength, wisdom and compassion that is uniquely ours.

A life journey of realness and encouragement

I did not know this author prior to seeing a television interview on a morning show. I bought it because of how authentic she appeared. I was NOT disappointed. I have been so inspired, encouraged, and even renewed by Nicole's story of her own self-discovery. Anyone who is stepping out of their comfort zone after being confined by the limiting beliefs of their own and others should read/listen to this book. I feel lighter and freer. I'm glad I listened to Nicole as narrator vs. reading it in a book. She gave it so much life.

A Call to Action!

I was so drawn into every aspect of this book. It is a call to action to redeem the essence of our democracy: the right to choose public leaders who truly represent and serve us, the people. The author reminds us not to dismiss those that don't participate but to engage, encourage, and educate them to do so. This is a reference book for my community advocacy.
