Historia
When Gage & Griswell's star litigator suddenly disappears - along with $5.6 million of its most important client's money - the assignment of locating both goes to Mack Malloy, a 50ish ex-cop, almost ex-drunk, and partner-on-the-wane at G&G. Mack's search takes him into the inner sanctum of his firm and through the shadowy heart of the city itself, on a path that soon runs him up against his longtime nemesis as he plucks the threads of a dangerous web of corruption, deceit, and murder.

Worst Book on Audible
Revisado: 08-11-24
The writer goes off on tangents, over describes and confuses the reader at every turn. I stopped reading int 3/4 of the way through. NOT WORTH EVEN STARTING

Historia
On January 28, 1742, a ramshackle vessel of patched-together wood and cloth washed up on the coast of Brazil. Inside were thirty emaciated men, barely alive, and they had an extraordinary tale to tell. They were survivors of His Majesty’s Ship the Wager, a British vessel that had left England in 1740 on a secret mission during an imperial war with Spain. While the Wager had been chasing a Spanish treasure-filled galleon known as “the prize of all the oceans,” it had wrecked on a desolate island off the coast of Patagonia.

Mayhem, Murder, Despair and BOREDOM TO THE MAX
Revisado: 12-22-23
The worst book of the year. A complete disaster as all it provided readers was a glimpse into the incompetence, evil intent and arrogance of the men at sea who ruled their pathetic sea-faring vessels in search of ill-gotten wealth. It wouldn't have been that bad had it not been for the endless ad nauseam details of hunger, death, disease and other methods of excruciating suffering and death. None of the characters were worth developing (and few actually were) and the ending is purely laughable as the injustices that finally prevailed made a mockery of the efforts of even the virtuous men. A DEFINITE DO NOT BOTHER!

Did Grisham even write this book?
Revisado: 11-02-23
BORING, one simple plot, not the typical Grisham style of multiple story lines and sub-plots. It begins and ends with a fizzle, not one exciting moment, not even interesting characters. A definite LOSER.

"FAVA" is First rate and Fabulous!
Revisado: 05-16-20
I loved this book, the story kept me captivated and excited at the end of every chapter, eager for the next. In this age of suspicion towards government, authority and secret powers, this is a must read. I especially liked the realistic characters and a plot that kept twisting and turning, each time with an unexpected surprise. A cool touch is that you keep guessing "why the title"? until well into the 2nd third of the book, ANOTHER nice surprise. Those of you who are familiar with the streets of New York, Paris or Tel Aviv, will welcome the author's familiarity with the locations as he paints an exciting and real-life picture of all of them. I can't wait for the sequel!
