Historia
Far more than a "business memoir", What Are the Odds? is a raw, authentic account by a man many thought would never rise above his serial, addiction-fueled failures. Mike's gripping narrative transports listeners from his small-town tavern with its colorful cast of "regulars" to Mexico and a drug deal gone awry. From Las Vegas casinos, where Mike won and lost fortunes as a professional gambler, to a jail-cell beatdown. From failed rehabs to his 20-year marriage, an ideal union decimated by addiction. And finally, to the redemption of the most shameful moment of his life.

As the sole survivor of the car crash that killed her parents, grief-stricken paramedic Kit MacKlenna is stunned to learn her life is built on lies. A legacy from her father includes a faded letter and a well-worn journal. The journal reveals she was abandoned as a baby 160 years ago. The only clues to her identity are a blood-splattered shawl, a locket with the portrait of a 19th century man, and a Celtic brooch with magical powers.

Could you survive on your own, in the wild, with everyone out to make sure you don't live to see the morning? In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by 12 outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of 12 and 18 to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Still Great After 5th Time Listening Through
Revisado: 06-13-20
You have heard hundreds of times the book is better....
Well, it's true..... The Audible Version is better. This is my 5th time listening to the series... Actually, it's probably more than that, I have lost an accurate count... The story is great, the narrator is great, I actually feel as if I have been transported into the book. Do yourself a favor, get the entire series and binge listen. you won't regret it.

Historia
Magic most definitely resides in the Maine summerhouse where the mysterious Madame Zoya has granted the innermost wishes of its visitors. Now, three women have come to this special place with one thing in common: a painful past they would each like to rewrite. Amy, who hides a heartbreaking loss behind her seemingly perfect marriage and family...Faith, a widow in her 30s whose deepest grief is for a man from years ago...and Zoe, an artist shunned by her hometown for reasons she doesn’t know after a traumatic night erased her memory.

Return to 1797
Revisado: 05-08-19
This book follows Jude Deveraux's Summerhouse. Same house in Maine, 3 different women, but with a twist. Amy, Faith and Zoe all have dramatically different stories and are sent to 3 weeks in the past. BUT who's past? These characters are more like family members than characters in a book. You find yourself wishing you could spend more time in 1797 with them. AND you will never guess the ending.
Return to Summerhouse was a great read.
/Listen and the narrator does a great job!

I love this book.
it is one of my all time favorite books.
I read it at least once a year, every year.
Three women get a chance to change their lives.
Love, hate, laughter and tears. Each woman has her own story, each with their own twists and turns, but Madison's story.... How do I describe it? When she was telling her story, I was right there on the edge of my seat with Leslie and Ellie. I could feel her pain, I could smell the cigarette smoke in the air , and when she changed her past/future, I was laughing and dancing around the room with Leslie and Ellie. Never in my life have I ever felt as moved by a character in a book, until I met Madison.
The narrator does an excellent job in the Audible version. This is a great book, don't miss out on it!

In order to pursue her, he persuades Jason to move into her home and take care of her spoiled but adorable son, Max, for a week.

Who doesn't want a handsome billionaire?
Revisado: 04-27-19
As usual Jude does not disappoint.
This is a fun, quirky and sometimes unbelievable romance. The characters, setting and story line make you want to move to the little town of Abernathy.
it appears as if everything can't be fixed with money, but it is fun trying, or at least reading about trying.
Thank you Jude for another great read.
