A wonderful book, wonderfully narrated
Revisado: 05-31-22
Recipes for a Sacred Life really did lift me up! The author's stories and the narrator's performance are beautifully matched. I was completely drawn into the short stories and received a nugget of wisdom and peace with each one. Those nuggets, those little gems, will help me live a much happier, more fulfilled life. Yes, this book is that good.
AUDIBLE: You have this book in the wrong category. It's NOT a cookbook. It's a spirituality book (a wonderful spirituality book).

Historia
In the early 1960s, Ann Garretson sparks an airmail romance with Lieutenant Jack Sigg, a West Point grad and tank commander on the German-Czech border. Ann and Jack's correspondence heats up, and they hatch a rendezvous in Europe for the summer of 1964 to seal their budding love. A match for the ages. Not so fast. Ann's best friend in college, Terry Marshall, helps her plan the escapade, but in the weeks leading up to her trip, they realize they are more than just friends.

You’ll be drawn in! The authors and narrators tell a fantastic real-life story. A Rendezvous to Remember has that “special something” that makes you deeply involved with the characters. The authors’ reflections and choices as they navigate coming of age during an era of cultural shifts and political polarity is both thought provoking and relatable. I could really feel the internal conflict that Ann faces as she loves two vastly different men who amplify the two “sides” of her personality and also juggles meeting her own code of morals and the expectations of her family. I recommend this book!
