Substantial changes to the text

In order, I suppose, to make this text more palatable and easier to understand substantial changes have been made to it; many not for the better, and many that were unnecessary. These not so subtle changes alter the meaning of Freud's thoughts thus providing the listener with a diluted manuscript. Not to mention that the background music is atrocious and completely unnecessary and distracting. Why does a book need a backing track anyway?

Finding specific sections is difficult

If you need to read this book for advanced academic studies as I did for a PhD program, chances are there are certain sections that are required reading while others may be skipped over or read at a later date. I found that this audio book was poorly indexed, the table of contents did not reflect that of the printed book and I was unable to locate the sections I needed. That said, I'm sure this audiobook is helpful to those who need to read it in its entirety. But if there are specific sections you need to focus on such as The Analytic of the Beautiful, Analytic of the Sublime or specific sections of the introduction, I wish you luck in finding them. I'm sure this audiobook is well produced and executed, but without proper sectioning it's not very useful I'm afraid. I ended up reading the text. I would have preferred to listen to the text and read it at the same time.
