Refreshingly new scifi
Revisado: 06-15-24
It's a very different take on military / apocalypse / exploration scifi. This first book really feels organic, and leaves you enough hints towards future storylines. I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of the series plays out!

Historia
Have you ever wondered what was going on in Adolf Hitler's mind during his final hours in the Führerbunker? What were his thoughts as radio contact with the outside world grew faint, Soviet explosions became louder and louder, and he began to feel his unassailable power ebbing away? Did Hitler repent of his crimes against humanity or was he obsessed with thoughts of his imminent defeat and suicide?

Informative, with good narration.
Revisado: 05-01-24
I was a bit worried that this would simply be a minute by minute narration of Hitler's final day, but I was pleasantly surprised to find out that was not the case. The story was engaging and kept me interested the the entire length. The narration was very well done. My only complaint would be that I felt there was a lack of sources presented for the material, but that may well be because of how the text of the book was written, without seeing it, I can't be sure. But I would definitely recommend it!

Historia
Horus’ armada gathers, and he has defeated all enemies sent against him, even the Emperor’s own executioner. One barrier remains before he can strike for Terra and lay waste to the Emperor’s dream. The Beta-Garmon system occupies the most direct and only viable route to the Solar System and Terra. To break it, Horus assembles a war host of incredible proportions and Titans in untold numbers. To lose here is to lose the war, and Horus has no intention of turning back. But the Imperium understands the importance of Beta-Garmon too.

A nice perspective, parallel to the mechanicum.
Revisado: 07-02-22
It's very interesting to hear the perspective and lore of the titan legions. Very good performance as per usual. It's well worth the read.
Don't expect astartes. The book is literally called Titandeath. Expect titans. I've seen reviews complaining about the lack of space marines. That's not what this book is, and it's better for it.

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

If you enjoy either scifi, or a good story, just buy it. It's well worth the price. I don't want to give away ANY plot details.

Historia
The planet of Caliban exists much as it has for thousands of years - the knightly orders protect the common people, fighting back the beasts that lurk in the depths of the seemingly endless forests. Young Zahariel and Nemiel aspire to join the greatest of the orders, led by the example of mighty Lion El'Jonson and his vision of a peaceful and unified world. But the coming of the Imperium brings new concerns and a new destiny for the Lion as part of the Great Crusade, and the sons of Caliban must decide if they will follow him to glory among the stars.

A bit short compared to other books, but VERY good
Revisado: 07-15-21
Felt a good bit shorter than some of the other books in the series, but the performance and the story definitely make up for it.
The Lion is not the main character, and I'd argue the book is better for it. It's nice to see a primarch through another's eyes, especially a mortal, without paragraphs speaking of how they can barely look upon them. The Lion is treated as a revered and respected warrior, but it's not as though everyone is incapable of speaking to him. It's a nice change of pace.
Story flowed well and provided a good look at Calaban before the Imperium arrived.
5/5 don't want to spoil anything. Just read the book!

Updated version, very good.
Revisado: 06-02-21
I don't feel like typing out paragraphs, but if you want a look into Guilliman's mind while he comes to terms with what the IOM has become, this is a solid novel.
I'm a bit biased, as I have pretty much exclusively read Guy Haley 40k novels, but my goodness is he a great author. I listened to the Dante Trilogy before starting this Trilogy, and while different, this series seems to be equivalent in quality and lore.
There's a lot of setting up in this novel, but it leaves you wanting more, it doesn't feel like a cheap cliffhanger. I'm exited to continue the trilogy.

Historia
Dante is Chapter Master of one of the noblest but most troubled Chapters of Space Marines in the Imperium: the Blood Angels. From the time of his birth in the rad-scarred wastes of Baal Secundus, he was destined for glory and strife. From his apotheosis to Scout, to the hive cities of Armageddon and the alien menace of the Cryptus system, Dante has waged war against all the enemies of the Imperium. He has witnessed the divine, and struggled against the darkness within all sons of Sanguinius.

Loved it. I could write an entire synopsis, and it would both spoil everything and nothing. This is a work that should be read or heard.
