Devastatingly amazing!

I didn’t think it was possible for Susan Stoker to write a book that would make me cry harder than The Boardwalk anthology, but Shielding Riley surpassed that tenfold! My mom happened to stop by right after the secret is revealed and she honestly thought my cat had died. I was absolutely hysterical. She’s an avid reader of the books as well, but she does the e-reader version. I told her to prepare herself. This one hit me harder than Alabama’s story and I may need to join a support group. Hats off to you, Susan!!! This book may have wrecked me, but I will definitely listen to it again. 💜

Securing Kalee was worth the wait!

We were introduced to Kalee and Phantom’s connection in book two, Securing Piper, and have been awaiting their story ever since. Well, it was very much worth the wait! Securing Kalee’s storyline started out a little different than most of Susan Stoker’s other books, but you can feel Phantom and Kalee’s love just as strong. If you’ve read Securing Avery, then you know that Phantom realized what had been bothering him about his Timor-Leste mission and now, in Securing Kalee, he has a pretty big decision to make. The conflicts, flashbacks, introduction to new characters, and the coming together of characters from several different series was done in such a fantastic way that it made me want to go back and revisit their stories.

The audio was fantastic! I love that Susan kept the same narrator, Savannah Peachwood, throughout the series. Not only does Savannah do a phenomenal job of transitioning from male to female characters, but each of her male characters seem to have a different tone as well. I’m sure that is a difficult task to accomplish and she does it very smoothly.

5 stars for Susan Stoker and Savannah Peachwood. Another job well done! 💜

PS I can’t wait for Commander North’s story in February of 2021.

Be still my heart..

We meet Truck and Mary in book 1 (Rescuing Rayne) and they grow throughout the series. This book is one of my favorite by Susan Stoker. Truck and Mary face ups and downs throughout the series and their story, but their story wraps up in THE best way imaginable. The narration was on point yet again. Stella Bloom is by far my favorite female narrator. There isn't any background noise and the dictation is clear throughout the entire book. Happy reading!

Now I’m hooked!

This was my first Susan Stoker book and now I’m obsessed! The audio is clear with no background interrupts and the story line is amazing! I was sucked in immediately and couldn’t stop listening. Definitely a must read!!

Annie’s back!

Little Annie is by far my favorite character in Susan Stoker’s books. I love how spunky and unapologetic she is for being herself. Stella Bloom does a fabulous job narrating the different voices! Round of applause to both Susan Stoker and Stella Bloom for another amazing book!

This book hit me a little differently than other Stoker books. It is still written amazingly well and has a fantastic narrator, but the message behind this story is what impressed me the most. 💜

This book was amazing (not unlike B.B. Reid’s other books)! I was a little nervous about the main male character's accent, but Stephen Dexter definitely grew on me. If you have read/listened to the other books in the When Rivals Play series, this is a MUST read/listen. It was my favorite by far!
