A hard, but insightful and informative read.

This is a book that is hard to say is “good”. Not that it isn’t well-written, though-provoking, and haunting. It is all of those things. But it’s also tough and sad and emotional. I was a little girl during Vietnam but I have strong memories. I had friends whose older brothers were drafted. I remember the controversy and the angst in our country. I remember the shame and the mistreatment of returning soldiers. I don’t remember the women. This book was eye opening and good for me to read. You should read it too.

Very interesting read!

I enjoyed this book greatly. Learning about the process of selecting Supreme Court justices was very interesting and informative. I appreciated the authors professional journalistic approach of finding three sources to back up stories reported. While I believe both parties of our political system contain more than their fair share of shadiness and dishonesty, this display of partisanship was appalling. So thankful for good reporters to tell the story honestly.

I grew up in North Dakota near a Hutterite colony.

I never knew much about them so I found this book quite interesting. I never really came into contact with them, I only heard about them mostly through my dad who often went to their colony to buy produce.

I enjoyed this book so much. An all encompassing tale of a life that improved our world. Flawed and imperfect, yet full of hope and vision, this man never gave up thank goodness. He had more creative ideas than money and more determination than discouragement. Fascinating read.

This was such a hard story to listen to as you already know there wouldn't be a happily ever after ending. The story did an amazing job portraying the thoughts and feelings of a patients point of view. I heartily recommend it.
