Historia
In Non-Toxic Masculinity, Zachary Wagner tells men, "If you are in Christ, this is your problem—and you should be part of the solution." Reflecting on his own coming of age in the purity culture movement and ongoing recovery from sexual shame, Wagner confronts harmful teaching from the American church that has distorted desire, sex, relationships, and responsibility. For those—both men and women—who feel disillusioned and adrift, this book offers a renewed vision for Christian male sexuality founded in empathy and selflessness.

So helpful
Revisado: 07-11-23
I heard Zach on Preston Sprinkle’s podcast and was very intrigued by what he had to say. I have a 12 year old son who I want to teach well. I also grew up during the height of purity culture. A friend of mine and I have been waiting on the “middle way”. A way forward that didn’t embrace purity culture but also didn’t shun Christianity altogether. Zach’s combination of orthodox Christian beliefs and willingness to hear another side/find a healthier way forward are so helpful. I plan to listen again and then read it with my son. Here’s to raising a new generation of healthy boys and men! Thank you Zach for your work.

Historia
All My Knotted-Up Life is a beautifully crafted portrait of resilience and survival, a poignant reminder of God’s enduring faithfulness, and proof positive that if we ever truly took the time to hear people’s full stories . . . we’d all walk around slack-jawed.

Tears, laughter, pure joy!
Revisado: 04-13-23
I am a southern baptist. I have watched from afar as Beth has been raked over the coals. I had never done one of her studies, never even heard her voice, but I knew who she was. As she mentions in the book, she became somewhat controversial. A friend of mine wanted to start this book and I wasn’t sure how I would like it - but I have loved every second. If ever there has been an audiobook that I couldn’t “put down”, it was this one. I cried multiple times, laughed out loud, paused and thought about what was just said multiple times. This book runs the gamut of emotions, all while humanizing its author. I am glad I read it. I’m sad it’s over. I feel like I have lost a friend now that there is nothing left to listen to!
