Sound Quality was Horrendous

Narrator’s voice didn’t work for me

I’m not sure what it was, but I really didn’t enjoy the narration for this book. In my opinion, her voice would suit a YA or children’s book better. The two prequel books had excellent narrators.

Delightful Listening Experience!

This audiobook offered one of those rare occasions when listening to a book is far better than reading it for yourself. The narrator is absolutely magnificent! It is quite likely that I’ll be listening to this one again soon. Bravo!

Heartwarming and Relatable

I was slow to giving this book a try because of several negative reviews, but I am so glad I finally listened! There were funny parts during which I laughed out loud literally, and there were poignant stories that brought me to tears, as well. Amy is someone I would love to know in real life, because she is real. She embraces her flaws and recognizes that we all have them. I really loved this book!

GREAT Ideas/Mediocre Narrator

I was so inspired by this book, and I will definitely be purchasing and E book or physical copy of it. The narrator was a little dull and monotone at times. I grew tired of hearing the way she says “compost” with a short o in the 2nd syllable, but obviously that’s a picky detail on my part. I’m not sure why, but during the last third or fourth of the book, there were some weird editing issues. Still – the message and ideas presented in this book are 100% worth putting up with the slight annoyances.

Good Overall

I really enjoyed this book, and I’m glad that I have a physical copy of it. Just listening to the audio form isn’t enough for me since it is so full of information. My only criticism is that I found it difficult to keep up with the narrator. He goes so quickly that it’s difficult to absorb the information adequately. I much prefer Robert Fass as the narrator for Cunningham’s books. I listened to Wicca- A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner dozens of times and LOVED Fass’ slower, more thoughtful pace.

Breathtaking!

Since losing my sweet mother a year and a half ago, I’ve been seeking answers for what really happens when we leave this earthly plane. Dr. Alexander’s book provided some of those answers. More than once, his words moved me to tears as he described things that I know my mother also experienced as she faded away (ex. hearing music that was other-worldly and beautiful). I’m incredibly moved by his story and the lessons he learned from it, and I thank him for sharing these lessons with us! I recommend this book highly to both believers and skeptics!

I'm pretty "woo woo," but I couldn't handle this!

Would you try another book from Solemon Rune and/or Jason Lovett?

The narrator was atrocious, and the content of the book felt "fluffy" and not at all researched based. I only made it 15 minutes before I had to turn it off in disgust. Quoting unidentified "experts" and "practitioners" every other sentence, is bad journalism and lends no credibility to the information given. I'm disappointed, because I really do want to learn about decalcifying the pineal gland, but this book was NOT useful in the least.

What didn’t you like about Jason Lovett’s performance?

It is distracting in that his expression is forced and fake sounding, and he oftentimes drags out the last syllable of his sentence in an annoying way.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Third Eye?

All the uses of some anonymous "experts" and "practitioners". It was very similar to supermarket tabloids' use of "sources" rather than actual people's names.
