I loved this little novella, while at the same time I wished it was a full length novel!
Still, I’ll take anything I can get in this excellent and unique series. Love the audiobook narrator as well!

Another Excellent Installation in the Series

I’ll be honest, when I saw that Lesley Manville wouldn’t be narrating again, I was nervous. HOWEVER, Fiona Shaw is EXCELLENT and really understands how to deliver a compelling narrative and do characters.
I don’t understand all the negative comments. This story is another great Thursday Murder Club adventure and the narration is TOP NOTCH.

Amazing Narration

Rosamund Pike takes this story to the next level with her incredible narration. Friends and family who have told me to read this series let me know that the first book is a bit slow and uneven. I did find this to be the case, but was able to finish because of the incredible narration by Pike. Hopefully she will go on to do the entire series!

Keep ‘Em Coming!

I know that the original audiobooks are beloved by many, but they are pretty tough for me to listen to. I have had family and friends trying to get me to read these books for years, and it wasn’t until Rosamund Pike narrated that the story really came alive for me. She is truly amazing. I know the 3rd book is coming sometime early next year but I seriously hope they have her read all of them!

This book had so much potential - the setting of Tuscany, the mystery of an unknown parent, personal growth and discovery, etc. Instead, this was a shallow, hollow, and sloppily written romance novel that glorified infidelity and fell into all the tropes of a romance novel. Listen, every single issue in this plot could have been solved by people communicating their feelings with one another honestly and by being unselfish. Sorry but no. This was just not good and I don’t get why it’s on all of the top lists at all.
