Perfection.
Revisado: 07-13-24
I really hope the narrator decides to do more than just this one book, it was amazing and I seriously have zero complaints on their performance, and that doesn't happen often! I would definitely listen to other stories they narrated.
And the writing is amazing. This is an actually good story with lots of hot, well written sex, and not just sex with a little bit of story thrown in there for space filler.
It highlights the importance of safety, communication and consent, while exploring your sexuality, exhibition-/vouyerism kink, and building relationships around unconventional structures.
The only thing I find to be a bit unrealistic is the intervals for how often they sometimes test for std's. [Where I'm from, at least] you have to wait at least 10 days from possible infection before you can test if you're going to get a true result, you can't just go and test yourself the next day, like they sometimes do in the book. But this is nitpicking, and while a bit odd, not enough to ruin the story in any way.
All in all, 5/5!

The world is no longer safe for the Dragon Rider Murtagh and his dragon, Thorn. An evil king has been toppled, and they are left to face the consequences of the reluctant role they played in his reign of terror. Now they are hated and alone, exiled to the outskirts of society. Throughout the land, hushed voices whisper of brittle ground and a faint scent of brimstone in the air - and Murtagh senses that something wicked lurks in the shadows of Alagaësia.

Revisado: 07-11-24
As always, Gerard Doyle delivers a faultless performance!
The story is gripping, and we really get to know Murtagh and Thorn in a way that's intimate and raw, and get to see a side of them that's only hinted at in the original series.
Many were dissapointed at the collection of short stories that came out a few years ago, but in my opinion this more than makes up for it. I loved this book.
The *only* drawback here is the music played between parts in the book. I usually listen to books I like when I fall asleep, and those will inevitably wake me up again; I thoroughly wish everyone would stop putting musical soundtracks in audiobooks.

Perfect.

Loved it. Both story and narrator are amazing, love the characters, and I was completely swept up. Very distracting when you're supposed to do other boring stuff. ;)
This is the absolute perfect mix of erotica and "regular" novel, with both hot, sexy scenes, and an actual story and character development.
I hope they do a sequel where they explore BDSM further, the right way (which is to say, pretty much the opposite of FSoG). It was made clear that many of the characters are into it and actually practice it in a healthy way, and I would just love to see more of that.

Historia
Why do we find sexuality so, well... scary? Comedian and co-creator of the hit show Feel Good, Mae Martin, investigates in this hilarious and intelligent guide to 21st century sexuality. By narrating their own, often humiliating, adventures in sex, dating and identity, Mae demystifies everything from weird crushes and coming out, to the pros and cons of labels and the joys of sexual fluidity. Mae's mission is to ensure that in a world that's full of things to worry about, who we choose to kiss should not be one of them. And when it comes to sexuality, Mae asks: CAN EVERYONE PLEASE CALM DOWN?

Absolutely wonderfully beautiful, funny and so, so interesting. Mae Martin is already my favorite comedian, and their view on sexuality, genders and acceptance is, in my opinion, the best I've ever heard, and I completely agree with them. The performance is perfect, and I recomend this book for EVERYONE!

The story is wonderful and amazing, I absolutely loved it.
The performance is generally good, except for some of the character-voices which annoyed me endlessly.
I will recommend listening in spite of that tho', simply because the book in itself is so incredibly good.

The narrator's accents for Dimitri and Adrian really annoyed me, so she loses a star for that, but otherwise I liked her. Liked the story a lot.

Historia
A mysterious island. An abandoned orphanage. A strange collection of very curious photographs. As our story opens, a horrific family tragedy sets 16-year-old Jacob journeying to a remote island off the coast of Wales, where he discovers the ruins of Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. As Jacob explores its abandoned bedrooms and hallways, it becomes clear that the children were more than just peculiar. They may have been dangerous. And somehow—impossible though it seems—they may still be alive.

Great story! Narrator, not so much.
Revisado: 03-10-19
The story is incredible, but I hate the narrator's performance. Admittedly, his voice for the main character is great, but the voices he makes for all the other characters are cringe-worthy -- some worse than others, but all bad.
