Down on his luck and with his back against a wall, John Crussel would do anything to provide for his family. Even rob a bank out of desperation. But when he hears of how he can make money in a virtual reality video game called Alterlife, he walks away from the robbery and decides to give it a shot. Couldn't be harder than robbing a bank, could it? John's world is about to change as he finds that Alterlife is easier than it seems. But being a hotshot new guy that seems to have all the luck draws the attention of some dangerous people in Alterlife.

This book was chosen as my book clubs book of the month for May. I personally have never been into sci-fi/fantasy type anything. However, once I started this I could not stop listening. I truly cared about what was going to happen to the main character. Personally I love audiobooks for me it adds and extra layer of flavor to it, but some books I've had to read because the narration was just so bad, not the case in this instance. I love that the author himself narrated the book and I believe it is evident he placed just as much care and effort into the performance as he did the writing. Lastly, I find myself in somewhat of a dilemma. I want to know what is going to happen next, but at the same time want to wait on the audio version. I'll be wrestling with the decision to buy the book or wait for the next audio release. With that being said put this on your list to read.
