Historia
Barbarians, political breakdown, economic collapse, mass migration, pillaging and plunder. The fall of the Roman Empire has been studied for years, but genetics, climate science, forensic science, network models, and globalization studies have reshaped our understanding of one of the most important events in human history. Awesome series
Revisado: 08-06-23
Extremely interesting and in depth analysis of an often very poorly understood time in history, approached from several angles. I learned a lot. Some of the interview episodes had poor audio quality, but other than that I have no complaints at all. :-)

Historia
Being an unwanted twin in the Imperial line of succession, Farilane became a scholar, adventurer, and in a time when reading was once more forbidden—a book hunter. Her singular obsession is finding the mythical Book of Brin, a tome not just lost but intentionally buried. Respected and beloved by the Teshlor Knights, not even their legendary skills can protect her for what she finds is more dangerous than what she sought.

First real disappointment.
Revisado: 07-22-22
I'm a huge fan of the powerful combination that is Michael J Sullivan and T Gerard Reynolds, but I did not enjoy this book. The narration was great, but that's the only good thing I can say about your book.
I don't want to spoil it for anyone, so I won't really go into my issues with the story itself, but man... what a disappointment.
The author states at the beginning that while this book is part of a trilogy, it can be enjoyed on it's own without reading the previous novels. I strongly disagree, this book is so full of references and hints to those books that it makes no sense to suggest reading this one first.
I would recommend skipping this book entirely. It's by far my least favourite fantasy book of the last few years.

From Mark Greaney, the New York Times best-selling author of Mission Critical and a coauthor of Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan novels, comes another high-stakes thriller featuring the world's most dangerous assassin: the Gray Man. While on a mission to Croatia, Court Gentry uncovers a human trafficking operation. The trail leads from the Balkans all the way back to Hollywood. A writing experiment?
Revisado: 03-10-20
I have to start by saying that I love the Gray Man series. The story of this book is what I expect from a Gray Man novel, for the most part. Halfway through the book something happened that made absolutely no sense to me, a character made a decision on a boat that just felt so unrealistic that I almost stopped reading.
I understand that authors often feel the need to try something new, in this book Gentry's part is written in first person, which feels really weird - and not in a good way. I hope it's a one-time experiment.
Jay Snyder is a great performer, his voice works really well for these stories. Unfortunately it seems "South African accent" is something he's not very comfortable with. I hope he does not have to do this again, it was painful to hear.
Definitely not the best book of the series, but I can't get myself to give less than 3 stars average.
