Historia
Agent Pendergast has become one of crime fiction's most endearing characters. His greatest enemy is one who has stalked him all of his life, his cunning and diabolical brother Diogenes. And Diogenes has thrown down the gauntlet. Now, several of the people closest to Pendergast are viciously murdered, and Pendergast is framed for the deeds. On the run from federal authorities, with only the help of his old friend NYPD Lieutenant Vincent D'Agosta, Pendergast must stop his brother.

Pendergast is the man!
Revisado: 10-03-05
I saw that the narrator was different the same that did "The lions game" and "Hours game", both I liked. But he also read "The diagnosis" which I hated. So I rolled the dice betting on the previous books by Preston and Child. I knew Pendergast wouldn't let me down. But after listening to the Pendergast stories read by Rene Auberjonois it was a little difficult re-tuning my ear. I loved the way that the characters from previos books made it back into this book. And a Villian that is an equal to Pendergast, what will the next book bring????

Tiffany Aching, the boldest heroine ever to swing a frying pan against the forces of evil, is beginning her apprenticeship in magic. She expects to work hard, learn spells, and become a witch. She doesn't expect to find herself doing chores, caring for the careless, and trying to outthink an ill-tempered nanny goat. There must be more to witchcraft than this!

Just as good as The Wee Free Men
Revisado: 10-03-05
Another spectacular book!!! The Nac Mac Fegals are hilarious. I found my self rewinding during the chapters that had a lot of dialog between the Fegals. I am in awe of the talent of the narrator. You will not be disappointed!!!!

Historia
Armed only with a frying pan and her common sense, Tiffany Aching, a young witch-to-be, is all that stands between the monsters of Fairyland and the warm, green Chalk country that is her home. Forced into Fairyland to seek her kidnapped brother, Tiffany allies herself with the Chalk's local Nac Mac Feegle, aka the Wee Free Men, a clan of sheep-stealing, sword-wielding, six-inch-high blue men who are as fierce as they are funny.

another 5 star ya kin!
Revisado: 10-03-05
I am so glad I took the chance with Going Postal, it opened me up to all the other fantastic books by Terry Pratchett. For The Wee Free Men, I have to say that the narrator is the best, all the voices he keeps track of is unbeliveable. This book was a fun trip into the mind of Terry Pratchett. I really enjoyed this book.

What a great listen. The narrator was super. I fell into this one and hated putting it down. Not a long book and things happen fast. I will listen to it again soon.

In late 2003, in his column in Entertainment Weekly, Stephen King called The Memory of Running "the best novel you won't read this year." This glowing endorsement of the audiobook resulted in Ron McLarty receiving a $2 million two-book deal from Viking Penguin. Also, Warner Brothers has shelled out big bucks for the movie rights to The Memory of Running, for which McLarty will write the script.

I took the advice of the other reviewers, and I'm glad I did. Great book about family and growing up. The main character, Smithy, has an everyday guy quality to him. I found myself really getting into the story and wondering what the next twist in his journey would be. Great listen.

War has come to Discworld...again. And, to no one's great surprise, the conflict centers around the small, insufferably arrogant, strictly fundamentalist duchy of Borogravia, which has long prided itself on its ability to beat up on its neighbors. This time, however, it's Borogravia that's getting its long-overdue comeuppance, which has left the country severely drained of young men.

I have a feeling that any books by this author will get 5 stars from me. My first listen was Going Postal, it was fantastic. This one is just as good. Can't say enough about the narrator. Great listen again.

Revisado: 05-27-05
The narrator is the best. I was laughing from the begining of the story. The way it was read was straight away the best ever. He is a talanted narrator. Keeping track of so many differrent character voices. Love the humor in this book. Great listen.

YAWN!!!
Revisado: 05-05-05
I couldn't believe how boring this book was. The begining is the best part, then it just seems to ramble. I agree that there are many loose ends in the book. And I also agree that there are sad parts. I spent a lot of time rewinding this book. I couldn't stay focused. There was a lot of pointless description. This book just didn't do it for me. Sorry to say, this book is good for falling asleep to.

Terrorism and Comedy......It works!!
Revisado: 04-13-05
Super long listen, but I can honestly say it didn't seem that long. The narrator is one of the best. I will look for other books he has read. This book had me laughing and laughing hard. It's tough to believe that a book about a terrorist can include comedy.
On the serious side, the way Asad (the main character) gets around while in the U.S., if it is factual and can be accomplished, is scary.
This book gets the listener into the mind set of a terrorist and a cop trying to stop him. It offers an insight of how the middle eastern countries think. A great listen.

The final story.
Revisado: 04-13-05
To read this trilogy (Black, Red and White) wasn't very tough and it took me on a trip to two different but similar worlds or realities. I listened to the books and understood the literal meaning of them. I'm sure that for the listeners that have religious knowledge, deep knowledge I'm guessing, these stories offer even more than what I got from them.
