This is a gay romance about a straight guy who decides to do a gay for pay job. You'd expect really hot sex, some self discovery, maybe some insight into the gay porn industry.
This book offers none of these things. Sex is really dull and unimaginative, lame story line and clearly not accurate in portraying the industry.
Narration lacked any kind of passion, although I have to admit he had little to work with.
I wish Audible would qualify/screen some of these stories better. There are so many standout authors such as ZA Maxfield and others.
Sorry, hate giving terrible reviews, just don't want people to waste money.

Let's face it, nobody's expecting literature when they get this type of book. It is gay male erotica. I am absolutely baffled why they would choose a robotic female voice to narrate a male sexual encounter told in the first person. I found it impossible to enjoy.

So many M/M romances are thin on plot. Takeover has all the elements - engaging story, characters with some complexity, plus good 'romance'. So nice to find a book in this genre that isn't a basic Cinderella story. I hope to see more books by this author.

A lot better than most MM romance....

I really liked this a lot. Characters are well drawn, great dialog, just the right amount of fun stuff. Narration excellent. Also, concisely told. Very enjoyable and deeper than the usual fluff. If you like the genre, pick this one.

OMG the 'accent'

I'd stopped listening after an hour because the character Rain, from South Africa, alternated between sounding German, Russian and Irish, all in the same sentence. It was so distracting; I've never listened to an audiobook quite like it.
I did go back and listen to the whole book. Ok but not terribly interesting story. I enjoy erotica, but the constant sex was pretty uninteresting.
Anyway, nor the best for me.

Much more than a romance. A must read.

There are many layers to this story. The almost delicate way that it is told makes it that much more powerful. Sometimes a simply told and not overly embellished story can really make you think.
