If you do not subscribe to the Calvinist view point you may find large sections of this book hard to get through. The book takes several turns and digs in its heels to explain the author's theology. Feels like a bait and switch from the study of Paul to the study of Macarthur.

Spurgeon is one of the great Christian theologians and I wish I was smart enough to track the whole way through. I found myself often having to go back and listen to understand what he was saying and/or what he meant. The more learned may enjoy this.

Good speaker

Sean is an excellent speaker and has the perfect background to discuss these topics. The book begins a bit dry but gets there 3/4 of the way through.
I encourage anyone interested in this topic to listen to Sean McDowell speak either on youtube or other podcasts. You will get a lot of the same content, but in my opinion, in a more entertaining and real way.

This book is more of a Bible study of Paul's ministry and his leadership qualities than it is on general leadership. Towards the final chapter you get more general application. Overall I enjoyed it but the title felt misleading.

This book glosses over a lot of the theory and might not be more than what already comes naturally to you as a leader. However, if you find leading difficult or is new to you, this is a good place to start!
