This was the first Bushcraft book I've listened to that the author was an obvious pro/ teacher.
What other book might you compare Life Under Open Skies: Adventures in Bushcraft to and why?
Most other good books are instructionals, this is his story of his growing up and as a teacher in Bushcraft and survival.
Which scene was your favorite?
His moving to Arizona and the experiences there.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
No reactions like that in the book.

This is the third audio book I listened to and the first worth spending the time. Follow him on Y-Tube.

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?
Focus on a being lost scenario and not drifting off topic. ( Like perhaps a 72 hour lost hunter.)
Would you ever listen to anything by Marcus Duke again?
No
Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Kevin Pierce?
Kevin Pierce does just fine.

To learn bushcraft, one must adjust the state of mind. Instead of going through a series of complex mental processes when coming up with a decision, one should reform to a simpler, more primal state. It aids in prioritizing the more immediate needs. Even if it is just for a little while, one should experience the independence and empowerment of living by the moment and in using the forces of nature to the advantage.

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
Numerous good points for a beginner.
What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?
The book gets too carried away with medicines and first aid items, sounds like a portable surgery kit. I certainly don't carry scalpel blades and butterfly sutures.
Did Sabrina Z do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?
The reader does a good job.
Was Bushcraft worth the listening time?
Any Bush-craft book is worth reading.
